Hello, starting a new thread for those of us starting a new cycle after the holidays.

My background: one successful round of ivf a few years back resulted in my lovely DS and now trying for a second. We are about to go for round 3, following 1 bfn and 1 mc.

At the moment I am waiting for af to appear. Seem to be about to ovulate according to opk. So guessing should expect af in about 2 weeks time.

Going for natural FET with progesterone support. The question for me is whether to add steroids too. A little scared of long terms risks so we will see...

Hi @sometimesalways yes, assuming we are going ahead after tonight’s scan 😬 and hoping they make it to 5 days...might be a Wednesday transfer like you, if we are lucky x

I got a BFN today and I'm devastated, so many tears. Didn't expect to be hit this hard and DH is gutted too. You pour everything into this process and it really takes it out of you. Will be time to think about next steps soon but not today

Oh no @Parkandride so sorry to hear that! I feel that I would also break down so allow yourself to, I'm sorry I have no further advice but this forum is here to support you 💜

Oh @Parkandride I am so so sorry. There were definitely tears with my failed attempts. Nobody understands how exhausting ivf is unless they have gone through it. Please be kind to yourself. I always beat myself up trying to think what I could have done differently to get a better result but I know some times there's nothing you can do; just luck of the draw.

@Hufflepuff1 I will try to be optimistic for all of us!  my strategy this cycle is detachment detachment detachment. Trying not to think about it more than necessary to remember my appointments and any meds. Doesn't always work for course haha (this thread is evidence!)

@sometimesalways thank you! At the airport now! And got my transfer early in the morning then acupuncture right away! Detachment detachment! I told myself I'm going for a kidney transplant hahaha

I also had my second beta hCG results this afternoon, it's dropped from 92 to 68 so it's over for me this time too. Just hope withdrawal bleed comes soon so I can move on.

Thank you all for your best wishes. Scan this evening showed 6 follicles are nice and big so going ahead with EC tomorrow morning. I’ll update over the weekend xx

I'm trying to get an early night... Googling 😩

I'm officially PUPO! It went well! We had a short meditation before transfer! Scan showed 10.3mm lining and all looked great!!the embryo is 5AB and she even told me its gender! When she asked if I wanted to know I just bursted into tears! And then she told me! Transfer went smoothly! She then held my hand and said a little prayer. then had a drip, blood test and acupuncture. OTD is 5/03 🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

My scan went well, I ovulated, so I am now booked in for transfer on Weds afternoon. Eek
I took the day off from work and booked acupuncture, and then that's pretty much all I can do... my OTD won't be for ages though! Argh my clinic waits till 14dpt...

@sometimesalways thank you! Flying tomorrow night. My OTD is 12dpt they want me to go for HCG but I'll do HPT first and if it's BFP then I'll go for bloods 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I ended up having to wait a while as there was a delay waiting for the doctor so it meant I was holding my wee in for an hour longer than necessary! This also meant I wasn't paying as much attention as my focus was on not weeing on the doctors hand although my husband said he deserved it for making me wait! 😂 😂

But yes it's all done and I'm also officially PUPO! Woop woop let's hope our embies embed nicely and stick! 🤞🤞

Oh forgot to say my OTD is also 5th March but let's not lie and say I won't test early...

oh wouldn't it be wondering to have a March full of good news. I admit I try and not test before OTD as I find it more stressful getting false (or ambiguous) negatives, but who knows how I will feel by then

Very quick post as I’m still a bit drugged out after EC. Of the 6 follicles, 5 eggs. Cried like a baby when I woke up...felt like a total failure but I know from research since that less is fine so long as quality is good. When you read this please send me positive vibes. I’m really anxious about getting that call tomorrow. It’s our very last attempt so hopefully we get at least 1 embryo to transfer. Sorry if I’m not responding to anyone’s updates...a bit blurry vision and knackered but I’ll update tomorrow X
