IVF Stimulation day 4 Follicles not growing

Hello,
I have my day 4 stimulation (day 6 after period) scan and blood test for IVF. My estradiol was 85 pm/mL and had 6 follicles that are below 6mm in size and appears that i am not responding. I am on 225 of menopur and 225 bemfola!
I have another scan in 2 days but i am really really disappointed, scared and worried that all is lost! Is there something to do to help follicles grow? Is it anything that i might been doing wrong? Is there chance of me responding? Anyone else in a similar situation or have any advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks to both @EarlGreyT @Softscoop35.
I had my scan today (i actually have blood tests and scans every single day now). My arms are so bruised but hey its fine!
My lining is keeping st 10.5 to 11 and my follicles went to 1 x18 2 x17 2 x 16 3 x14 and one at 8 mm. Its my 14th day of stimulation (tonight it will be). However they said that probably we will trigger tonight as they are afraid that the bigger ones will be over mature if we leave it for tmr. I argue this with them as I want the 3 of 14 to go above 16 and hence have a chance to be mature but i am waiting for instructions and they will
Still grow until Friday i assume. So fingers crossed that all will reach the right size and we will have mature eggs.
They however said that a fresh cycle is out of the question and all Will be frozen if i get any embryos as despite the endometrium
Looking healthy they dont go for fresh cycles with over 16 days endometrium. Well i am
Still worried but it is what it is. I just hope things will progress and all will grow! Inreally appreciate all the support! It seems its rhe only thing that helps!

Did either of you @EarlGreyT or @Softscoop35 go for fresh transfer?

poupou · 20/11/2019 19:32

Well trigger is tonight and according to instructions i should stop all stimulants! I am
Very anxious as there are 3 follicles at 14 mm that i dont think i am Giving them the best chance but I can not do much. Well i hope they will mature until egg collection. This is so difficult and so stressful!

JeNeBaguetteRien · 20/11/2019 21:52

Good luck with the trigger, hope they mature nicely @poupou, everything crossed for Friday!

I hope today went well @poupou Thanks

poupou · 22/11/2019 20:41

Today was ok. I was so so worried and very emotional. The retrieval went ok i didnt feel anything. Just very disorientated after. My hand is heavily swollen and bruised from the cannula and i feel a bit discomfort! I can nor really rest as i am Very anxious but i am spending the day mainly lying on the sofa as it hurts when i move lots! They got 6 eggs (i was hoping for 7) but they said it is an ok number! Ps: they were very happy with the girl Next to me thought that she had 9 eggs!
I am so so stressed and going mental for tmr! Fingers crossed they will Fertilise! Thanks @WorriedButterfly!
How was the baseline scan?

poupou · 22/11/2019 21:57

Wish you best of luck! As others said lots of protein (i got whey protein and was taking 30g per day) lots of water and hot water bottle! Also check femoral vein massage as it increases flow to the ovaries!
Fingers crossed for both of us! Thanks and Hopefully i will have some good news

Well done for getting through egg collection and hope you’re feeling a little more comfortable and settled today. You should feel confident that you’ve done all you can and now your embryos are in the hands of the experts! You just need to focus on recovering and healing your body ready for a frozen transfer when the day comes. Hopefully you can come out of the ultra stressed zone you’ve been in as you’ll burn out if you stay in that for weeks on end. Well done, for now your job is done Grin

poupou · 23/11/2019 11:19

Hello @Youngatheart00! Thank you and you are right! I am going to try to calm down! We have 5 fertilised eggs out of 6 eggs collected! So fingers crossed they will grow and be ok! I am anxious but i am trying and i am recovering! Thank you so so much for all the positive and supportive messages!
Fingers crossed they will be fine!

5 out of 6 fertilised is brilliant!

WorriedButterfly · 23/11/2019 12:21

That's super news @poupou, I think as others have said, give yourself a break, you know you're having a FET so time to relax, lots of tasty nutrition and fun times ahead, book somethings you enjoy to help you mentally too. I think it is amazing how IVF takes a grip mentally, but somehow you need to distract yourself from all the nerves and anxiety it brings. Let us know how you're doing x

poupou · 23/11/2019 13:29

Thank you both @WorriedButterfly @Youngatheart00!
We are going out tonight and are planning for a break soon and i think i will relax for today! Breath a bit and wait! Fingers crossed for Monday and best of luck to you guys as well!
@WorriedButterfly! Be positive and believe me i know its so so difficult! I am sending lots of positive vibes!

That's wonderful news @poupou, 5 embryos is fantastic.

I might try that whey protein for my next cycle.

Enjoy your night out, try to relax Flowers

poupou · 23/11/2019 16:12

@JeNeBaguetteRien ! Whey protein is pure
Protein and hence it would give a boost to any protein needs that you might have! I was taking 12 g in the morning and 12 g around 1700 and 6 at night before bed for 1.5 week! First week i was taking 12 g only. Also lots of cottage cheese! I dont know if that helped but it definitely didnt hurt! Hope it works for you!

OP posts:
poupou · 23/11/2019 16:16

Thanks @JeNeBaguetteRien! Will try to relax for a bit! Fingers crossed for them to develop.

They seem to be growing ok and keeping in there! I am so anxious but 4/5 are ok and still Growing at 9-7 cells today at day 3. One is behind at 4 cells but they will wait to see how it will Do! The embryologist said that they expect 2 To maybe go to day 5 and they are pushing for this. Fingers crossed for day 5 that we will have good quality to be able to freeze them! I am Still very stressed but i am Hoping! Fingers crossed!

OP posts:
poupou · 27/11/2019 11:12

Waiting for the final update whether we have any embryos to freeze or not and if they survived to day 5 and if so quality! I am so so nervous and stressed. They havent called me yet and they usually do early in the day! I hope its not bad news! Fingers crossed and any positive vibes are more than welcome! I hope you all ladies are doing well. @WorriedButterfly how is your
Cycle going? I hope you are well!

OP posts:
JeNeBaguetteRien · 27/11/2019 13:27

Good vibes on their way to you @poupou

Will order that protein you mentioned!

poupou · 27/11/2019 13:35

Hello @JeNeBaguetteRien! They finally called 3 hours later than normal. We have two frozen already at a very good grade (3AA). I was so surprised happy and relieved! There are two more at morula and pre morula stage that they will wait until tmr to see whether they can grow and freeze them (fingers crossed for them hopefully they will
Make it). One is unfortunately arrested at 6 cells and wont survive. They are nor the best results but they are very very good and hopefully one of these will develop to a baby!
I am still waiting for the other two tmr and will relax for this month and prepare myself
For the transfer!

poupou · 27/11/2019 13:42

Thank you so so so much for all the support @JeNeBaguetteRien and all of you! It made a massive difference to my sanity.
In regard to what i was taking that i am
Not sure whether it helped or not: during stimulation as inwas apoor responder whey protein lots of water cottage cheese, yoga and pilates and hot water bottles. Also was taking ubiquinol for last few months (400 mg) l arginine (1000 mg) wmega 3, vitamin c, selenium, vitamin d, vitamin e (200mg). Non of these harm you in any way but ubiquinol and l arginine help in egg quality. Also there is a publication that suggests that l arginine might help in poor responders that i found last week. Best of luck with everything!

Great news @poupou glad things are progressing well. Day 7 I had another scan earlier, 1x13 1x14 1x10 2x9 1x8 1x7. Pleased I've got some (I only had 1 last cycle). But worried things have slowed down the largest two were 12 on Monday. Trying to stay positive and hoping some can catch up. Thanks for checking in. x

poupou · 27/11/2019 14:15

@WorriedButterfly! You have six follicles and that is great! Seriously! I had 7 and it appears that you can get some good ones from there!
Regarding growing mine also didnt grow that much between some scans (1 mm max) but mine were even smaller (10 max at day 7 stimulation) and they grow! You have two very very promising and others that can definitely grow and catch up! And still lots of time! Keep in there!

OP posts:
EarlGreyT · 27/11/2019 15:15

@poupou that’s brilliant news. 2 at grade 3AA is fab.

All the best for the next month. In my experience a frozen transfer is nothing like the level of stress of stims and the fresh part of a cycle.
