Take care of your mental health

Hi all,

I listened to an interesting podcast about high risk of post natal depression after IVF, that is due to couples trying their best to stay positive and full of energy to power through this journey and end up relaxing only after giving birth.. which is not the time to get relaxed really. They suggested making sure you take good care of your mental health during the journey. I had 3 failed cycles and very much power through and not letting myself be upset. I decided to take some counseling and reflexology, massage and possibly acupuncture. I know it means spending money that I don't really have, but I decided I'll economize on something else. Do you ladies don't forget taking care of your mental health? Have you tried counseling? What are your thoughts?

Wonderful post! It's so important! I was very burntout after 7 weeks long IVF cycle. The pill and buserelin drove me nuts. The chemical pregnancy...I was fine, it was the build up to it that was very hard. Generally very positive but have to make extra effort as I lead up to my first FET - massage, reflexology soon. Kundalini yoga is my saving grace. Reminding myself that no matter what happens it will be ok. Counselling. Being in my marriage. Also, popping into the supermarket on a busy saturday morning with screaming kids reminds me how good I have it! : )
