Every went well. I have a normal AMH but towards the lower end of the scale but as my mum went through the menopause at 39 that makes sense as I’m nearly 30. Consultant didn’t care at all and pretty much said he sees no reason as to why it wouldn’t happened naturally but obviously how long is a piece of string but that cheered me up. Start ICSI long protocol After my next period so in August. I am excited/nervous/hopeful it will work as I know naturally I ovulate and grow a nice thick uterus so tightly got my fingers and toes crossed.

GreyC · 16/07/2019 20:06

@squirrelnutkins1 it really helps when your boss is ok about it all. It certainly has made me worry less!

squirrelnutkins1 · 16/07/2019 21:30

@GreyC glad it went well and you've got a plan! Yay! I think it helps when they have some understanding of it. She said she didn't carry babies well, whatever that means, I didn't probe, but at least she seemingly has some understanding much like your boss. Thank goodness.

@squirrelnutkins1 thanks I am reading everyone’s comments it has gone quiet on here lately! Holiday is ok it’s been tough the last few days with how much pain I am in! I normally have quiet painful af but this is awful and have been limiting to what I can do as the bleeding has really stepped up so had to miss out yesterday and stay at the caravan by myself I’m ok as long as I don’t move to much and when I do I’m so self conscious so it’s all’s it awkward but told my mil and sil and they are being good and looking after me! Just want it to be over now not an ideal week to be away but am making the best of it!

Will try a better response when I am back home

Hope everyone is ok xx

2fingers22018 · 17/07/2019 11:11

GreyC · 17/07/2019 11:37

Thinking of you @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF
X

squirrelnutkins1 · 17/07/2019 12:15

Hugs @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF glad you're being looked after xxx hope the pain passes soon. I was in agony for a couple days and then it got better (pain wise). Allow yourself to grieve as well xxxx

It has gone quiet on here! I'm worried about @Kelly199 she's always so lovely and chirpy but she's not posted for a while. Totally understand if she's having a break from here tho!

I saw a friend today unexpectedly, the one who had a baby the same week I had my mc. My first thought was 'avoid avoid avoid' but I pulled myself together and spoke to her for a bit. I'm fine with her toddler but just not the baby. I didn't look at her or coo over her which I feel a bit bad about but I didn't want to send myself into a spin.

GreyC · 17/07/2019 12:29

@squirrelnutkins1im here :) how are you doing? Are you still taking your medication?

Well done for speaking & getting through it. I find I can deal with babies & children but struggle with pregnant ladies which is not nice I know but there we have it.

squirrelnutkins1 · 17/07/2019 12:57

@GreyC hello 👋🏻 are you enjoying your summer hols? How many boxes of maltesers have you eaten!? They are my fave so I'd be well happy 🤣
Medication is just cd2-6 so I'm on cd19 now. I've got to have a blood test tomorrow to confirm ovulation so I'll prob ring on sat to get the results then it's just a waiting game for AF or hopefully BFP. I'm not feeling especially optimistic but we'll see!
How are you feeling? Xx

OP posts:
squirrelnutkins1 · 17/07/2019 12:58

@GreyC yep I can totally understand that. It makes you feel horrible doesn't it but you've just got to do whatever gets you thru the day admins cooing over a baby would not have got me thru!

OP posts:
squirrelnutkins1 · 17/07/2019 12:58

*and - not admins!

GreyC · 17/07/2019 13:32

So far so good; erm a few with the help of my DP 🙈 so delicious whilst watch stranger things from the beginning inbetween walking my two dogs.

Oo I really hope you get your BFP - wouldn’t that be fantastic 😊
Hope your ovulation results are what you hope for too. I was quite shocked my AMH was on the lower side of normal but after emailing the clinic they said it’s nothibbg to worry about as they have evidence I ovulate so that’s made me much more cheery :)

2fingers22018 · 17/07/2019 15:02

@GreyC im jealous of all these maltesers😂 i LUV stranger things aswell its soo gd isnt it?! R u on season3 yet? X

squirrelnutkins1 · 17/07/2019 15:21

@2fingers22018 @GreyC we've binge watched season 3. Soooo good!!! X

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 17/07/2019 18:22

Jumping back on to say we finished stranger things yesterday! It's so good, we were very late to the party and only got into it in March (when I was miscarrying, was a good distraction).

I've got a stressful work situation going on and was paranoid that I was being treated differently due to the miscarriage so had a coaching session today and it was really good. Had a few tears, I still cant talk about the miscarriage, but she completely validated my feelings and reassured me I'm not being paranoid. Seeing her again next week.

Hope you're all well :) off to yoga in a bit so will catch up properly later xx

GreyC · 17/07/2019 18:59

I’ve watched stranger things season 1 & 2 but not 3 yet! Hopefully get to that soon.
Has anyone taken DHEA ? I need to take it but scaring myself a little about taking it. Seems crazy considering what I’m going to be doing drug wise with my ICSI

veeboo · 18/07/2019 08:00

Hi ladies. Had a bit of a longer break from here after we got back from hols on saturday. Hol was good but AF arrived along with a bit of PMS and the usual emotions so was a bit tetchy to be honest.

@finallytakingtheplungewithivf I am sorry about what has happened. How are you doing?

Back in work now and will catch up on the thread over the next day or two. I am CD12 now. 2 more cycles before we do IUI.

CloudSway · 18/07/2019 08:30

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I'm sorry your holiday has been interrupted by the pain Tec, but really pleased to hear your in-laws are supporting you, and like @2fingers22018 says at least you aren't having to deal with work. Have you been able to get out and didtract yourself for a bit at all? Thinking of you xx

I love that we're all much busier in the summer but will 100%turn up to talk about stranger things lol I'm halfway through season 3, it's brill!

I've only scanned the chat so someone might have answered @2fingers22018 but although I'm private I'm paying for a recently closed nhs place so think the questions for 1st meeting will be the same. She asked all the usual about cycles, how long ttc etc, if we had any problems when ttc, and about any past injuries or operations for both of us. She asked about mental health, I had just stopped my meds but DH was still on them and she was fine, asked about our support system and our state of mind, talked about counselling that was it, no qs about telling our child! She was also very clear about all the risks, which was a bit of a reality check/downer be warned!!
Sorry you didn't have a great talk with your family, ppl can be really insensitive 🙁 some ppl I've told just hear ivf on telly etc and don't understand, think it's a quick guaranteed fix, wasn't till I explained all the waiting and risks (so that ivf consultant talk comes in handy lol) that they were a bit more sensitive. Of course some people are just dickheads lol

Have to dash but hope everyone else is bearing up, sorry it's such a tough time for many of you xx

2fingers22018 · 18/07/2019 13:08

@squirrelnutkins1 we re tryin to take our time and only watch 2episodes at a time but its soo addictive lol @VenusStarr lol soo many ppl like it glad ur coaching has been helping u x @veeboo sorry bout af it ruins everything 💗@GreyC hi how are u keepin? @CloudsSway thanks its soo stressful worryin what theyl ask the letter actually said u could expect questions like how would u explain to your child how will u cope mentally etc even says theyl contact ur gp for a background check must mean mental health its pissed me off abit tbh its like how many hoops do u want us to jump through!

CloudSway · 18/07/2019 22:50

Guys I'm pissed off.

Just wrote a massive message, swiped to see comments at top of the screen and it refreshed my page and now it's fecking gone. Not amused!!!

GreyC · 19/07/2019 08:55

@2fingers22018 we didn’t get ask any questions like that really. Had to sign a letter about the welfare of a child but that’s it. Just had our recommendation letter through with high dose stimulation for me due to slightly below AMH. Says we discussed outcomes - which we didn’t so I’m abit annoyed at that but I think going into it a little blind may be a good thing for me as I am a born worrier and with ICSI i think it’s variable anyway with success rates.

2fingers22018 · 19/07/2019 17:07

@CloudSway it does that with me ALOT its soo annoying..cmon mumsnet get it together! @GreyC r u nhs or private tho? How long was ur appt ours says 90mins bit extreme! My gynaeo says she would recommend ICSI for us cause we re unexplained(thats when they inject the sperm directly into the egg isnt it?) Or am i gettin confused? @Kelly199 really hope ur k hun as @squirrelnutkins1 says uve been very quiet x

2fingers22018 · 19/07/2019 17:09

@GreyC meant to say im a real worrier aswell but they should have given u the choice on what u wantd to know tho. I got told at my last appt to not drink at all but theyv not even started me on my meds yet..

GreyC · 19/07/2019 18:11

NHS but a private clinic.

I’ve aslways struggled with anxiety so this is quite stressful but luckily I’m more excited that worried

2fingers22018 · 19/07/2019 19:27

@GreyC im tryin to do the same n get excited that we re finally movin forward i feel a mix of emotions tbh soo up n down atm..im contemplatin wether to ask for time off work durin the tww but i dnt want collegues askin if it workd or not so i dnt know. What r u doin workwise? We could be ivf buddies we seem to b timed together lol
