Well, I guess I'm feeling altogether excited and anxious. When the second one failed, I'd felt right out defeated. But the doc from whom I'd sought a 2nd opinion told me I stand at a good chance of success as my EC went well and retrieved a healthy number. I'm doing everything I can to make this one stick.
But if it doesn't, we'll follow with the 4th and final transfer from this batch, and we'll be on to our second and final cycle of IVF.
Hope you're on a good break from now till test day. I'm really excited for you and feel hopeful when someone gets a BFP :)

@Kelly199 Hey, we're abt the same. I'm on CD26 12dpo on a natural cycle while awaiting transfer in this upcoming cycle. Just thought we'd have some fun and see if something wld work :) What do you do to while away time? Sending you lots of love!

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF that's so reassuring! I just started off so positive since starting the clomid as heard a few success stories early on and now I'm on third tww on it, I'm getting a bit more of a pessimist now lol. Can't shake this negative feeling! Thank you. Hoping so ❤️

I'm useless in the tww tbh!! Spend my time googling everyday different things with tww! My own worst enemy. Prob stressing myself out.

A new lady had started at work this week and she said to me "have you got kids?". I said no. She said "my daughter doesn't want them either" I just went quiet. Couldn't think of anything to say!

I'm doing ok so far this week. Looking forward to my appointment next week at fertility clinic. Think I'll just feel glad that a plan may be put in place.

@squirrelnutkins1 I have mentioned her a few times but not that often as I don’t want to upset others! She is 12 and from a previous relationship. I’m sure if she knew about it she would understand but we have kept it from her as I don’t want her to see me injecting myself or to get her hopes up about having a sibling if that makes sense it’s been stressful enough. I’m feeling ok just tired! Oh wow that is exciting!! Yes I found it easier when there was a plan and what was what xx

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I can't believe I missed the times you mentioned her! I can't blame you for keeping it from her. Makes sense.

@veeboo morning! Good for you!! Well I work full time I think I’m going to find the weekend tough though so will have to try find something to occupy me! Work don’t know I haven’t been there very long so not something I wanted to share! I’m lucky in that all my appointments were early morning so there was only twice I was late and I said I had doctors which is kind of the truth 🙈

Ok so a question for you all test day is the 26th which is a blood test! I said to DH do you think we said we should take a test before I go for it? He said no and I said why he said well we will just find out there and then! I was like no it will be sent off and the results will come back later on like all my other ones! He was like what’s wrong with that? I was like I’ll be at work and not sure how I’m going to react to either a positive or a negative so I’d rather if possible at least do one so I can prepare myself for either outcome? What do you ladies think? I mean I haven’t even ordered any tests yet as I know as soo as I do they will be calling out to me!

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF Nearly every woman I know caved during the tww! Though I know how hard it is, I'd say wait for the doc's beta as an earlier result on the HPT could be inaccurate, and it's not worth the upset! Maybe this tww's a good time for a GOT marathon lol... or a riveting series on Netflix. Seen Stranger Things? Those child actors are so darn adorable! And before you know, the 26th would be here :) xxx

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF personally, I think I would probably test the day you have your bloods as like you say, the bloods will be another few days probably? Although, it is awkward if your dh doesn't want you to as don't want to argue over it xx

@BumpyRoad84 I’m going to try not to cave hence delaying the buying of tests! If o do it on the morning of the blood test I know it might not be an accurate result but then I don’t want to take the call at work and be told if it’s bad news as I’m probably going to get upset! But o get what your saying xx

@kelly199 the results will be back same day just on the afternoon when I’ll be at work impatiently waiting! I don’t think he dead against it I think he was just worried and once I explained my reasons I think it made sense to him so we wouldn’t argue! How are you today?

@Bumpyroad lol I wish the days would hurry! I hope you don’t me asking did the pessaries give you any symptoms? I’m only asking as I haven’t had any before transfer and didn’t know if that might change after? I mean I still don’t have any was just curious about wether that might change? I’m ok thank you. How are you?

@kelly199 not sure how it’s going to make me feel just I guess I’m hoping it will prepare me and I can do my crying in the car on the way to the clinic and then to work if needs be if it’s bad news that is! Glad your feeling better!

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF yes, I know what you mean. Just have tests ready and you can always take one the morning then if you feel that's best xx

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I totally know what you mean. Time just stood at a standstill, esp that first transfer! I never did pessaries .. my doc put me on Duphaston pills 10mg twice a day starting 5 days prior to transfer (CD22). On Day 30, a Proluton jab.
Had a chemical and started spotting intermittently for about 3 weeks. Took 2 cycles for my period become regular.
With my second transfer, we did away with Duphaston, so it was Proluton jab 5 days prior to transfer, and again 7 days after.
Experienced the same spotting issue.
I sought a second opinion on this and this doc advised to do away with the Proluton jabs, so just stick to Duphaston. His explained that the higher dosage in Proluton jabs rather than the daily tabs were causing the wild hormonal fluctuations.
I've also asked friends who've been on pessaries ... both conceived, didn't have any issues on them save for some minor inconveniences with the 'mess'.
How are you doing on them?

@Kelly199 Sorry I didnt answer your question abt the next transfer. If AF arrives in 2 days as expected, the transfer wld likely be around Jul 10-12. :) xx

I'm curious to know if anyone is doing anything differently with their diet?

@BumpyRoad84 that's good!! Obviously hoping af doesn't come, but st least not too long if it does and hopefully you'll have luck!!
I was doing really well being really strict with diet, but I've just been feeling so low lately I've been eating what I like lol! Will go back to eating good next week xx

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF One more thing – my 2nd doc assured me to not worry abt progesterone as the body produces enough. (I'm of the thinking that should there be a deficiency, it would have been detected and addressed in earlier blood tests)
Did you only begin pessaries on the day of transfer? If you dont mind me asking, how many days of it?

@Bumpyroad84 thankyou for that info!! What were those tablets you were on for? I’m doing fine on them i do them back door as didnt want the mess tried front once and really didn’t like it!! I started pessaries 5 days before transfer as I’m on a medicated cycle from what I gather my body won’t be producing the progesterone it needs to be same with the oestrogen as I have tablets for that.

Am feeling very crampy this afternoon and had some brownish discharge so now feeling flustered but am hoping maybe implantation will see how it goes as the clinic said to call if I get any spotting/bleeding as they might have to up the progesterone so will call tomorrow! Think I just need to get home and put my feet up and relax!

OH is REALLY down this week, worried about him tbh ☹️💔 so we've not been dtd. Part of me thinks ah well it won't work anyway! But that's my negative side coming out! Just gotta be there for him when he's ready to talk I guess.

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF let us know what they say when you ring! Try not to worry (stupid, I know because it can't be helped!!) but I have read others saying little spotting and they've been fine, so just try and stay positive and speak to the clinic. Hope all will be ok xx
