Hi ladies,

With January fast approaching I can't help but be very aware we have reached another year of infertility without success.

No doubt, like me, milestones have come and gone that I had expected to be pregnant by and 2019 is another big reminder of the time passed/lost.

So, whats your new plan for 2019?
Anyone attacking new treatment?
How can we make this our year?

2019 is the year of IVF for us! Birth control started last week, injections start on 18th jan with egg collection on the 30th! I’m egg sharing so my recipient will be in the same boat, starting everything! We’re having ICSI for Male factor infertility!

I'm hoping that 2019 will be better than 2018. We had our first two rounds of IVF this year, resulting in a MMC and then a BFN.

Another round planned for February. Fingers crossed that this round will work and by next Christmas we'll be three!

Exactly 3 years for us, so going to do 4 IVF cycles and hope for the best! Hopefully it will just take one...

We're starting ivf next year (February/March I think!) I'm going in to it feeling positive!

What about you @Mol5 ? What's your plans this year??

Ive had a lap and dye (endometriosis) and my partner has just had his varicoseles embolized. We've been trying for nearly 6 years so hoping 2019 will be our year. Good luck to you all

We’ll be starting our 4th round in Jan - hoping that 2019 will be the year for us!
Good luck to everyone! X

We are starting our first round of IVF in April-trying to see it as a positive thing but also a journey that may take quite a few goes. Hoping I can get three in next year if needs be. Having a fun relaxed Christmas eating and drinking what I like and then come jan want to start focus on health and well-being in prep for IVF. Also been trying to say to myself that I’m going to try to enjoy 2019 whatever happens and not make it all about ttc. Try and plan in some exciting things and holidays etc and enjoy the life we have. We will see how that goes -I can get quite obsessive-so it’s easier said than done!! Good luck everyone!

After four cycles, three surgeries, a pregnancy and an MMC at 12 weeks, 2018 has all but finished me off.

Yesterday was my last day at work - I have given up my job and am taking a 'sabbatical' for at least a year to mentally and physically recover and work out our next steps.

Terrifying and exciting in equal measure.

I am looking forward to getting fit, sleeping well, eliminating stress, and hopefully, somehow, finding my way to a successful pregnancy.

Good luck to everyone, may 2019 be your year!

Following our 4th failed cycle over the past 18 months and our follow up consultation on Thursday just gone, DH and myself have decided to move on to using donor eggs. Given the choice of a 10% chance with my own eggs against over 50% with a donor egg in any other situation in life I know what odds I’d prefer. So in 2019 we’ll be waiting to be matched with a suitable donor and having all our fingers and toes crossed. Having now made our decision it feels like a relief and I’m looking forward to mov8ng in to our next stage.

TheGlitterFairy · 24/12/2018 08:14

good luck spongebob with your donor egg treatment. If our round in Jan doesn’t work, then we’ll be moving to DE too. Hope you get matched quickly and can move forward with things...

Lots of love to you all. As horrible to hear everyone has had really tough times, it is nice not to feel so alone. I had a failed round before Christmas last year and was hopeful by this Christmas things would be different. Unfortunately we’ve had one more failed fresh round and two failed frozen transfers so we move to fresh round 3 in 2019. I am less hopeful for 2019 but am definitely ending the year a stronger person than I started it.

I hope 2019 is a better year for all of us.

Hello Ladies.

Glad I found this thread. I am too praying 2019 will be a successful a year. Had a failed IVF 2015. Knocked me for 6. Needed time to recover and also enjoy life and my marriage. TTC naturally but unfortunately with no luck and not even 1 BFP Sad
Anyway hoping to try IVF again this year. Haven't decided which month but going to Serum in Greece in January for an initial consultation and to explore out option.

Wishing you all the best and hoping for a BFP for all of us Smile
