I know @Minster2012 I do sometimes think that when we do have our little family it will be a HUGE shock to the system! X

Minster2012 · 04/03/2018 17:14

It definitely is a shock to the system I can say that much from babysitting children of 8 and 6 and doing things like taking them to their swimming lessons you really do see how you lose your free time, your time in general! Especially at that age, it’s all about clubs, lessons and entertaining them without just relying on tv and it’s exhausting!! And they eat LOADS!! 😁😁

Janefx40 · 05/03/2018 08:25

herewegoagain18 · 05/03/2018 16:11

Aliona19 · 05/03/2018 17:09

Hello all. How is everyone feeling? Yes I am testing Thursday, Jane. And feel less pregnant than few days ago 😕 so frustrating. How are you doing?!?

MrsMidge0505 · 05/03/2018 18:40

Hi all....
Anyone in my gang?

TTC for about 5 yrs. in the last year had two failed fresh IVF and one failed frozen where we had 2 fat 5AA go back.

On go 2 and 3 they we're good quality and I was also In optimum condition to accept them.

But they did not work. second we reached day 10 of 2ww which started off as spotting. Most recently we didn't make a full 7 days before spotting then AF arrived.

It seams I can't keep the pregnancy or maybe even create it. We are unexplained in relation to why we can conceive.

I am almost 35 and he is almost 40 and healthy and not overweight etc!!

What can we do? What should we ask for?!

X

swimchick1980 · 05/03/2018 19:09

I'm sorry you haven't had any luck at all @MrsMidge0505. I'm doing my first ICSI cycle so I'm afraid i can't offer anything from a personal perspective. One of my friends had 4 failed IVF cycles and asked for steroids in her 5th and that one worked (twin boys). She has no idea if they made any difference but like you felt she wanted to try something different as the previous ones hadn't worked, they were also I explained.

How's everyone doing? I am feeling very emotional and have tender boobs, which I'm taking as a positive, but a bit crampy, the opposite! All so confusing.

Janefx40 · 05/03/2018 19:17

Hi @MrsMidge0505 I also don't have personal experience of this (yet) but a lot of women at my clinic do work on their immune system. It's controversial and not everyone believes it works. I don't know what I think although if my next fails I will do the tests for it.

The steroids mentioned by @swimchick1980 are usually given for immune issues. These are relatively uncontroversial. There are more intensive treatments that divide opinion. Look it up on Zita West's website - that's not the clinic I go to but I think it's a good description.

PonyPals · 05/03/2018 21:39

Thanks @Janefx40
Yes, the baseline is tomorrow (didn't actually know it was called that!)
This is such a weird journey isn't it. I manage a group of young women and hearing them talk very flippantly about getting pregnant is so hard! If only they knew.
@herewegoagain18 @Aliona19 @swimchick1980 so excited to find out how you go on your testing days. I remember feeling very emotional.
@MrsMidge0505 I'm sorry you are going through such a hard time. Friends who had issues tried the embryo testing (can't remember what it's called PG of something) and only one of the 4 embryo tested was good enough to implant and was successful.
Might be worth looking into?

Aliona19 · 05/03/2018 21:58

Ponypals thanks :) very nerve wracking this waiting. Don’t worry about names 😅 I only found out what Stims were half way through my process. For me it’s just injections 😁

Swim I think I am just like u.. boobs getting bit more heavier ( happy days) but random cramps are pretty upsetting and worrying, but hang on there x

Minster how are you?! Recovered from babysitting?! Even on weekend I have to get up 5.30 to use this pessaries and each time I am hating it so much. And thinking my god, when baby arrives this will be every day routine 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

swimchick1980 · 05/03/2018 22:38

Good luck tomorrow @PonyPals.

I have no clue what anything is called! I'm not having pessaries, what are they? All I've had post transfer is a shot of hcg on the same day and that's it.

So tonight i have been bingeing on emotional clips on YouTube. I need to get a life! At my transfer, Make You Feel My Love was playing. It makes me cry at the best of times...... Sadly, i really like a version that the Military Wives Choir sung so i looked it up tonight as a sort of positive vibes/ good luck thoughts. It then linked me to a bunch of tear jerkers and an hour later I'm blubbing like an idiot. I might go and see if we have any Ben and Jerry's and go full Bridget Jones. Please say some of you have daft moments too and it's not just me.....

Aliona19 · 06/03/2018 05:54

Swim 😂 I am crying every day 100 times and yes sometimes I look for things because it makes me feel better after good cry, need to get rid of that bad energy. Also few days ago I was writing a covering letter for French visa (yes I need one 😅) and was crying my eyes out writing it. I don’t know why. We all a little crazy here 😅
Pessaries r progesterone, start 6 days before my frozen transfer and meant to carry on through 3 month of pregnant.

swimchick1980 · 06/03/2018 07:16

Glad it's not just me @Aliona19 Grin. It probably want the best idea though as i had a dream last night that it hadn't worked and that the only solution they could see was for most to go to a clinic abroad and they were packing me onto the plane. I was trying to kind DH but he want picking up, all very stressful. Hope it's not a sign......

Minster2012 · 06/03/2018 08:14

@ponypals good luck!

@aliona19 thank you I have recovered from babysitting, I had my scan yesterday to see if I could start my stims despite having had no AF and I got the go ahead so back on the injection boat, same as last year tho they could only see a couple of decent follicles in one ovary & a couple of smaller ones, my other ovary is doing nothing (damn lazy thing) so again it looks likely we’ll only get a few eggs. Why are u doing pessaries at 5.30?? Have u tested again??? I bet u have!! Those devils on your shoulder!

Is *@dbear35 Ok? Tomorrow is the viability scan isn’t it??

How are the other ladies testing this week doing? Keeping busy I hope?!!

In other news my posts on Facebook about surrogacy & IVF & how it shouldn’t be hush hush has prompted 3 of my friends to register as egg donors! I’m so pleased!! Hopefully it will make more couple’s dreams come true & im feeling pretty proud! 😁

swimchick1980 · 06/03/2018 09:08

Fingers crossed for a few good eggs @Minster2012.

Fantastic news about the reaction to your posts - i wish i had donated when i was younger but I'm too old now. Raising awareness is great. There are loads of adverts on the radio just now seeking egg and sperm donors, so I'm hoping they will help too.

Aliona19 · 06/03/2018 12:26

Oh no, Swim, you not the only one, we all crazy. Dreams are not signs come on, so we are thinking about is “is this going to work?! What if it didn’t work?” So obviously our head is busy at night too in form of dreams. Stay cool x

Minster 😅 you don’t think much of me don’t you 😂😂 no willpower at all huh? Lol no, haven’t tested anymore. No point. One day u have symptoms one day they all gone, I can’t afford to buy tests every day. Thursday is close though 🙃
5.30 coz I am dead busy at work since 6,30 to 12 and have not time to do that. Also if I do it later than 5.30 then at night will be later times and I am asleep sometimes at 9. Pretty annoying to be up this time on weekend. How long did u do injections for last time before EC?
