Hello, is anyone due to start IVF In June? My consultant has put me forward to start IVF, my next appointment is April 26th and if I start on long protocol I would start stimms late May and egg retrieval would be mid June. Would love to hear from someone on the same path!

Macarena, how soon after transfer did those symptoms start? I don't think I will be able to rely on any symptoms as I had cramps and sore boobs between EC and ET.

Anyone tested today?

Yeah I tested and got a BFN, unsurprisingly... I've been feeling really ropey but must be the progesterone- my blood test isn't due for another week so it's probably way too early but feeling like I'd rather be prepared for the worst.

Avocadosmoothie · 30/06/2017 16:34

Oh Scott, I'm so sorry! But could easily be too early. How many days past transfer are you? I know what you mean, best to be prepared for the worst but hopefully things can still change.

hi scott, it must be very early! try to resist testing xx i hope it turns BFP soon!

i am testing tomorrow morning. still no symptoms whatsoever!

xx

Scottishgirl85 · 30/06/2017 16:48

I'm watching from the sidelines and wishing you all so much luck! Katherine sounds promising! 😁
I knew by 5+5 that it had failed, bfn plus gut feeling, even though everyone kept telling me it was too early. With our little girl I had ridiculously sore boobs two days before period so was very obvious to me (so 7+5 in ivf terms).
Good luck!!!

mynameisscott · 30/06/2017 16:58

I'm 6 days past transfer and pretty sure all the symptoms I'm getting are side effects from the drugs. Not giving up hope yet so we'll see. Maybe I'll wait another few days, it's too tempting when I've got a stash of tests sitting there! Keeping fingers crossed for everyone else. Xx

Lauralife · 30/06/2017 17:12

Thanks macarena for sharing, it's so annoying that af and pregnancy have such similar symptoms! !

No period cramps with me now but I'm getting the nipple changes (bigger, darker,Montgomery glands) and my boobs are hurting at the front of my chest instead of the sides with my usual af. My discharge has changed but I think that is because of the pessaries! Tmi! I have this feeling though that I'm not pregnant - I'm feeling so normal. I literally cannot wait for it to be Monday.... 3 days left!

Awh Scott don't be discouraged yet, you could well be too early if your blood test is next week. I know it's hard to feel positive for the 2ww. It's not over until af / clinic testing. Smile I'm trying my best to get to 9dp so it gives me some time to come to terms with things before I get back in contact with the clinic on Friday.

Best wishes to all

Xx

Lauralife · 30/06/2017 17:17

Plus I think from what I remember macarena was 9dpt when she got a positive (sorry if I'm wrong!) so theres still time yet Scott Smile

katherine7172 · 01/07/2017 05:54

Hi all, sorry I didn't check in yesterday. It was birthday so wanted a little breather from all things IVF however, I still ended up testing. I recommend to wait as long as possible because, testing everyday will drive you insane! I've only been doing 3 days in a row and I'm struggling. My husband thinks he can see a very faint line, I think I might be able to as well but it's like the camera doesn't pick it up that great. Trying not to get my hopes to high!

As for symptoms I'm with you all, I feel very normal. I feel the odd few things but, it's so hard trying to differentiate between drugs side effects, AF coming and pregnancy.

Is anyone else on progesterone muscular injections? We've been taking them for a while but, because we keep doing them in the same spot it's becoming quite a bit uncomfortable. Wondered if anyone had any tips?

Hope everyone is okay!

Veinarde · 01/07/2017 07:29

Hi all, I tested positive this morning, can't believe my eyes! Happy but cautious.

Fingers crossed for everyone! Really hope you get your BFPs!

As for symptoms i have nothing, no cramps, no nausea, no tiredness. Boobs are a bit tender but I get that with my period as well.
Good luck all! Xxx

katherine7172 · 01/07/2017 07:52

That's amazing Veinarde, congratulations! Smile
How many days past transfer are you now? Was it super clear? X

Veinarde · 01/07/2017 07:54

Thank you! I'm 9dp5dt. I did first response which was pretty clear and Clearblue digital saying 1-2 weeks pregnant
Xxx

katherine7172 · 01/07/2017 07:56

Happy for you! I'll have to try one of those clear blue ones x

lostworkerbee · 01/07/2017 08:24

Congratulations Veinarde - super news!! So happy for you. Was today your OTD?

I'm still holding out but think I might test tomorrow. No real symptoms either. A bit of boob pain every now and again but I think that's probably the progesterone.

Katherine - I can't help re the injections I'm afraid. Did your clinic specifically say same spot each time?

lostworkerbee · 01/07/2017 08:31

And happy birthday for yesterday Katherine. Hope you had a lovely day. Sounds promising if there is still a faint line. What test did you use? I think frer is the best...x

katherine7172 · 01/07/2017 08:50

Thanks lostworkerbee, celebrating tomorrow with family with a bbq, hopefully the weather is nice! Smile
I'm the same as you really, achey boobs too. I wasn't sure if that was the progesterone or not either.
I've used superdrug own brand, frer and clear blue. I have a selection in my bathroom haha!
We were told to do the progesterone injections into the top of my bum on fhe outside, we alternate each side each night. But as we've done them more and more, we started to hit the same spots or very close. Which can be quite painful, as they leave injection lumps under the skin Sad
When are you testing lostworkerbee? x

lostworkerbee · 01/07/2017 09:31

Ah I hope you have a lovely time tomorrow and the weather behaves.

Sounds very painful re the injections. Are you doing them until OTD? I have a friend who had to do them until she was twelve weeks so could ask her if she has any tips.

I haven't got any tests in the house as I knew I'd be tempted to test early. We have shopping coming tomorrow though so I may add some to the basket. Quite fancy testing at the weekend so I don't have to go to work afterwards - whatever the result I don't think I'll feel like going to work!

katherine7172 · 01/07/2017 09:48

Thanks, me too!

Yeah, I have to do them till OTD and if they confirm a pregnancy I think I have to do them till I'm 8 weeks pregnant I think. If yoy wouldn't mind thay would he great? It can be so uncomfortable the following day when I try to sit down, my husband gets so annoyed as it takes me ages to get comfy haha!

You might as well add some! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Smile Really hope it works for us all! X

thevox · 01/07/2017 10:36

Happy belated Birthday Katherine - keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP for you.

Congrats Veinarde on your BFP! Wishing you a sticky baby Grin

My OTD is Monday but I'm going to test in the morning so i can get my head around whatever the result is before work on Monday. I've had serious bloating and nausea, and upper adbominal pain from all the pressure. The clinic said it's because will still be battered, but it got better after EC then came back again with a vengeance. I was hoping it is a good sign since OHSS correlates to pregnancy, but I get the feeling it's just the pessaries playing havoc with my body! No other symptoms though; my boobs usually get very tender before a period and it's currently the only part of my upper body that doesn't hurt 😂

Love and luck to everyone else waiting, we are nearly there xxx

katherine7172 · 01/07/2017 11:07

Thanks thevox!

Good luck with your test and keep us updated! Keeping everything crossed for you Smile
As much as I hope you don't get OHSS, if it means pregnancy then it's got to be a positive haha. Yay on no tender boobs, mine are doing my head in!

Not long for us all, so excited to hear everyones results!

Hopes2bmom · 01/07/2017 12:29

Congratulations vienarde and happy birthday Katherine!
Ladies, how are you all doing? I'm jus feeling relieved a bit, got a call from embryologist on day 4 today, all our 6 embryos are doing absolutely good today, fingers crossed, they ll check out till tomorrow or Monday and then freeze the blastocysts and give us a call. I'm still nervous but something to ease right now.

lostworkerbee · 01/07/2017 14:09

Great news Hopes! You must be relieved. I found waiting for the phone calls quite tough!

Thevox - looks like we'll both be testing tomorrow. Good luck!

xx

Avocadosmoothie · 01/07/2017 18:50

Veinarde and Katherine, congratulations!!!!!!! That's excellent news! Good look for tomorrow Vox! X
