I'm on 2nd cycle of clomid (50mg CD2-6) and am on CD7 now - anyone else out there the same?!

Footy your symptoms sound like they possibly could be OHSS. If it gets bad I'd see a doctor. I had a rough night but fine this morning!

Off for my progesterone test today. Waste of time and money as I know I ovulated from my opks and basal but the doctor thinks I'm an idiot. Hmm

LittleFox10 · 31/01/2017 15:40

My AF finally arrived Sunday night - so starting my next round of Clomid tonight. Hope everyone is doing well xx

KP86 · 31/01/2017 17:07

I think I'm a day or two away. But at least it's only two weeks since OV, so I can try again. I have had really long 6-8 week cycles over the past six months so I'm ahead of the game.

Footy1 · 31/01/2017 18:06

Sending you best wishes on your new cycles ** ladies.

Bummy,Pain gone today just a few twinges. Had Physiotherapy for back today and mentioned it. She had a feel and confirmed it's a back issue and is just referral pain from that pressing on my nerve. Not great news, but rather that than anything serious. I have a lot of pain around cd5-8 then it comes back around cd17-21. Temp was still low today so hoping tomorrow I'll ovulate.

KP86 · 01/02/2017 12:52

Back to CD1. I'm going to take my clomid from 2-6 this month and see how that affects OV. I wonder if it will be earlier.

accidentalgrownup · 01/02/2017 13:25

Funny you should say that KP, last month I actually took clomid on CD3 rather than CD2 as AF was extremely light and started in the evening of CD1.
Perhaps this is what caused me to OV so late? Surprised it could have that much of an effect but it's possible I guess.

KP86 · 01/02/2017 13:37

There are two methods - one is 2-6 and one is 5-9. I've only ever done 5-9 before now (4 cycles in total), with the very first cycle resulting in successful pregnancy.

All of my clomid cycles have been late OV, around CD 18-21. Since my normal cycles are all over the place I really can't comment how it compares! They pushed my due date back five days for my first pregnancy, which would have put OV at CD19. I wasn't tracking it myself so can't confirm!

Footy1 · 01/02/2017 16:36

The cycle I took it at cd3-7 I ovulated late (cd22/23), all other cycles were cd2-6 where I ovulated cd8 up to cd21. So I just think it can vary.

I'm still waiting to ovulate- I'm cd 20!! Took it early at cd2-6 as well. Fed up with it all. Think I'm struggling to ovulate- might be stressConfused

KP86 · 01/02/2017 17:15

As if it's not enough of an insult to not be pregnant month after month, I am so achy today from being a bit unwell and AF symptoms. Never happens to me but I just want to curl up in a ball and not get out of bed for a week!

KP86 · 01/02/2017 17:17

BTW, I agree 100% about the stress factor. But even if I tell myself we aren't 'trying' I know we are.

bummymummy77 · 01/02/2017 18:18

The nipple pain!!! Anyone else finding this? May skip this month, it's not been very bloody joyful!

bummymummy77 · 01/02/2017 18:19

I love it when people tell you you're stressing too much. Hmm

KP86 · 01/02/2017 18:49

What actually gets my goat the most (and possibly I was guilty of it first time around) is the people who run around saying how amazing their bodies are growing babies, blah blah.

Dude, you've got no idea how hard it is for some of us! Makes me feel like a failure. No accidental pregnancies here (mind you, except for one which I wasn't aware of and didn't stick). The irony of not having regular cycles so you don't realise you've missed a period and therefore that you're pregnant...

Footy1 · 01/02/2017 18:58

I just feel stupid all those years fretting over missing a contraceptive pill!! What an idiot I was!!

Yeah why can't I be one to "just fall pregnant by looking at his manhood"! Smile

Footy1 · 01/02/2017 18:59

Weirdly only had nipple pain for a few cycles, none yet this cycle??

satsoooma · 03/02/2017 14:37

I'm new on this thread (actually, this is my first post in infertility - kind of sucks of be here, huh? Wink). I'm hoping that this is a good place to ask a question about provera.

I am on my 4th cycle of clomid and had to take provera to induce a bleed for the first time this cycle. AF technically started on Tuesday, but it was very, very light and has not gotten much heavier since (now on CD4).

TMI alert: basically there is a little brown blood when I wipe, never any red. I really could get away without any tampons, or pads at all, even at night.

Is this normal for a provera bleed?

LittleFox10 · 03/02/2017 16:49

Sorry satsoooma, I have no advice as I've never used it personally, maybe someone else would know?

Since starting Clomid again on Tuesday, I have woken up every day with a headache and have always resulted in needing to take paracetamol Sad I am glad it's my only side effect of it!

How is everyone getting on? X

KP86 · 03/02/2017 18:11

Satsooma, that's not considered your bleed. I had to take primolut, which I think is the same thing, and it took two weeks of that kind of discharge before proper CD1. Then I had a normal period and took the clomid.

satsoooma · 03/02/2017 20:01

I'd be surprised if it wasn't my real cycle KP. It is now 21 days since I started taking Provera. I understand that is sort of the outer limit for how long it would take for a bleed to start. I suppose the only way to tell is to wait and see ...

sunshineintheclouds · 03/02/2017 20:12

Hi all been given clomid to try as i have pcos i do ovulate but my cycle is all over the place so hospital has given clomid ago.
I only have to go for bloods on day 21 no scans etc. Which seems a bit werid reading the posts on here.
Anyway i suffer quite bad from aniexty so hoping the clomid does not make it worse.
Got to wait till sunday to see if AF comes on its own if not i have to take a test and if negative take provea to force a bleed.
Ive been put on 100mg clomid for 3 cycles.

accidentalgrownup · 03/02/2017 20:26

Hey sunshine, similar here.... I ovulate (they scanned me before I started clomid), extremely looooong cycles, pcos & underactive thyroid. Good luck 😊

sunshineintheclouds · 03/02/2017 20:31

Thank you. You too :-)
I just tend to over think everything lol it didnt help with the doctor talking about over stimulation and if i get blurred vision to get stright to hospital Shock lol but i am sure i will be ok Grin

bummymummy77 · 04/02/2017 02:55

So my progesterone test came back to show i ovulated (yes thanks, obsessive charting told me I had, wasted over £100) and dh has his sperm test on Tuesday.

Tested again today at 8dpo and negative. Dh has threatened me with divorce if I test again before Wednesday now.

KP86 · 04/02/2017 08:26

I'm trying to remember satsooma (it's been almost four years and many sleepless nights in between) but I know mine definitely took at least two weeks to work. Whether it was two weeks until the dodgy bleeding and then two more weeks for proper - which I {think} is what happened, or if it was two weeks until proper with dodgy in between. I didn't keep copious notes, which would've been useful!

KP86 · 04/02/2017 08:27

If anyone else wants a progesterone or sperm test, Oxford Online Pharmacy does them for £25 each.
