If so, please join the club. Let's keep each other going!

In our case, we're going abroad for ours - Norway. What about you?

Hey, so I survived my hysteroscopy. My uterus is pristine apparently, but I feel as though I have been kicked in the foof. Also a bit crampy, and I hope I stop spotting soon so I can tell when my period starts.

Today is the last day of norethisterone. Should be stimming by Monday.

I hope you're all well. Apols for the lack of personal hellos, I am tired (which has not stopped me doing work... Oh well!!)

Kwick709 · 14/03/2016 17:04

Take care of yourself notspartacus my fanjo and womble was very delicate afterwards too - I found a hot water bottle and TV gave some comfort.

Am back at clinic to get more meds - test today showed my progesterone level is half what it should be. Hope my chances are not already scuppered :(

Everhopeful76 · 14/03/2016 17:17

wow kwick. That's good they are getting you more meds, I ve just got a wait and that's it.
Did they measure your womb lining before transferring embryo?
I think your on a battery of luteal support drugs? What are you taking?
Fingers crossed for you.
Are you testing early for pregnancy?
I love your abbreviations, fanjo and wombie hehe

Kwick709 · 14/03/2016 17:23

ever I cannot take praise for my vocab - ripped off another thread I am on - which has LOADS of great words (mainly created by auto-correct incidents :))
I am taking loads of drugs: clexane, progynova, lentogest, crinone - last 2 are progesterone
Still waiting to see nurse... I think they have forgotten me... Dying for loo Envy

NotSpartacus · 14/03/2016 18:41

Hopefully it's just a blip, Kwick, and easily sorted.

We should have a code word in case we're ever in clinic at the same time. I'll be the one humming the Wombles theme music.

Kwick709 · 14/03/2016 19:19

LOL notspartacus!!!! That is a great idea... normally I could say that I am the one wearing the poppy - but I am just about to swap it for a Sport Relief pin!

Okay so my levels are less than half what they should be - so now I am swapping from Lentogest to Prontogest - another wonderful intra-muscular injection which will now be daily... I am black and blue already but anything to help general womble environment.

The nurse was lovely and reassured me that low levels would not have impacted implantation.

NotSpartacus · 15/03/2016 13:28

Glad they were kind to you Kwick. I know progesterone levels swing wildly, even over the course of a day, in a natural cycle, so I can't imagine lower levels for a little bit would be a problem. When do you test?

I'm back in the office today. Still cramping, although last night's hot water bottle helped. Have finished the norethisterone, now waiting for my period so I can start stims.

I hope everyone else is ok.

NotSpartacus · 15/03/2016 19:35

Ooh ever I missed that you had two embies in your oven. That's really great Grin(my goodness, smilies look a bit evil on my iPhone!)

Kwick709 · 15/03/2016 22:42

notspartacus sorry about cramps - they should wear off by tomorrow Flowers. My af took a while to make an appearance after stopping downregging... Which really stressed me out as I had planned everything out so no business trips during EC and ET possible dates and then I was late! The only advice I can give on that one is to repeat very often "I am in perfect time".

So I will have another progesterone test on Saturday and then I will POAS on Tuesday.... So ONE WEEK AWAY!!!!!!!

I am madly symptom spotting... Have got quite a lot of spots which is unsual for me - but likely down to meds.

NotSpartacus · 16/03/2016 09:17

Cramps have now taken a distinctly periody turn (and spotting stopped), so I have booked my drug delivery, shooting up lesson and scan asap! Was hoping to get the drugs Saturday, but started to fear I was cutting it too fine. So, will have to nip home to take delivery tomorrow and pop that growth hormone into the fridge.

It is a bit stressful trying to do this around work without telling anyone! I'd be quite happy if my period came a bit late as it would give me more time to get organised at work, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Do you have boobs of agony kwick? That was always my sure-fire pregnancy test! ( not sure if it applies to IVF tho).

Goingcrazy53 · 16/03/2016 16:53

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing.

Im finding it a bit of a roller-coaster and I'm only in the first wk of the 2ww. I over did it a bit yesterday and felt utterly exhausted and emotional, so today I arranged to work from home and I'm feeling much better for it...that and the multi pack of cream eggs I have just eaten. I can't seem to stop myself from binging chocolate atm.

The Cyclogest is making me feel bloated, tired (is this a side effect?) and windy Blush and generally blugh. Anyone else?

Hope your all doing OK X

Kwick709 · 16/03/2016 17:46

My boobage pain has actually desisted a bit... Not sure what to make of this but I am very spotty - not had this before.

Notspartacus best of luck for stimming

goinggrey1978 · 16/03/2016 21:26

hi everyone, all is well, my baseline went well yesterday and my donor lady's baseline today too!! its all systems so now, back on the HRT medication til the next scan next week, i cried so much yesterday and was so tired too, think it was a relieve that everything is going to plan finally! 50:50 chance that i have, first time round was a practise i've decided!!

NotSpartacus · 17/03/2016 08:18

Hey goinggrey, sounds like good news. How does it work with your donor? Are they looking to synchronise cycles or will her eggs be frozen? Do you still have to take loads of drugs?

Goungcrazy I'm sorry you are finding the 2ww horrible, but glad that creme eggs are available to help! ( I ate two yesterday, clearly something to do with progesterone and forthcoming IVF stress!!) .

Drugs arrive this morning so I am lying on my bed working from home. Strangely excited, I guess now I have dropped nearly 2k on meds I had better go ahead with this!

Everhopeful76 · 17/03/2016 08:47

Hi all
Notspartacus and Goinggrey, excited for you both to get started, I feel crème eggs are needed based on the eyewatering costs of drugs.... soften the blow
I am 4 days into my 2ww (how slow is this week going!?) and am having symptoms of something although whether they are real or desperately imagined I have no idea. Definite ravenous hunger (have had the most appalling appetite for months prior to Tues) sore boobage on/off, metallic taste in mouth, and bizarrely a sinus/congestion issue. I googled the sinus issue and it came back as a first sign. I ve never heard of this before from others, so maybe I simply have a cold brewing.

Kwik, I guess your not too far off testing now, how u feeling?
I ve been tired as well Goingcrazy on cyclogest but have not necessarily completely attributed it to that, but I had to travel 90 miles for my treatment back and forth last week and tbh I think its a product of that. When did you have your transfer?

Am trying to take it easy on 2ww. I am fortunate I am not working at moment but I guess its a real juggling act for everyone else. Watched the entire series of Happy Valley and now onto The Night Manager catch up. Although its hard the wait, the emotional rollercoaster I had last week with deciding whether to go ahead or whether to cancel, then actually getting 2 decent quality embryos after a crap amount of follicles, this seems a whole lot easier, at least at the moment

Wish you all well xxx

NotSpartacus · 17/03/2016 10:48

The meds are here and they make a terrifyingly large pile. The au pair thinks I am either a junkie or a hypochondriac, but I have now hidden all but the fridge items in my room so should be able to avoid questions.

Buying one of those relaxation downloads in the hope it will stop me obsessing quite so much. Now off to work to take my mind of this stuff and scarf creme eggs at my desk.

Kwick709 · 17/03/2016 19:36

everhopeful your signs sound very encouraging but I do not want to add to the cray-cray!!

notspartacus chillax as much as possible... I found stimming quite stressful and really cosetted myself during that phase.... It is the suspenders of whether the follicles will grow and how many you will get, like ever I am finding 2WW less stressful.... Although I know I will be devastated if I get a bfn.

I am struggling to keep awake - today has been very intense but I am waiting for my room service order to come (rest of team I am travelling are out on the lash) and then off to bed for me!

goinggrey1978 · 17/03/2016 21:07

NotSpartacus donor lady is having ivf and will share her eggs with me to get her treatment partly paid for, i don't know if she's single or gay, just that she needs ivf like me, i'm back on the hrt which shuts down my insides and keeps it ready for the donor lady's donation to me, using my sperm donor, i will have embryo implantation soon and then the 2 week wait starts

Goingcrazy53 · 18/03/2016 13:18

I have been spending far too much time on Google recently haha and I stumbled across this which I found really interesting. I thought I would share given the stage where we're all at;

www.bubblesandbumps.com/what-happens-after-embryo-transfer-day-3-day-5-transfer-calendar/

Everhopeful76 · 18/03/2016 18:21

Gosh goingcrazy, so right about now for me implantation should be complete if its been successful...eeek
You had your transfer 2 days before me didn't you on11th was it?
Are you getting any symptoms at all?

Goinggrey1978 How does your treatment work, do you still have to have injections or is it all about synching your cycle to donor lady - so you went on pill? And also on a lot of luteal support after the transfer?

Kwick709 · 18/03/2016 20:43

goingcrazy thanks so much for sharing the article :)

NotSpartacus · 19/03/2016 09:45

Hey everyone, had my baseline scan yesterday and while it took an age to find my left ovary (stuck to my gut which makes for very painful ovulation, so not looking forward to having a bunch of grapes on there) all was fine and we are good to go.
Was surprised they didn't count follicles but then I was bleeding everywhere Blushso maybe they just wanted me to leave.

Also had my injection lesson. DH came with and appeared to be relishing the idea of this a bit too much. I will find a way to do these myself.

Now v nervous as have to do three jabs tonight. Was sleep talking a lot last night which is a sign I am a bit stressed, I hope the anticipation proves worse than the execution!

They've also told me I have to have daily bloods during stims from Tuesday to keep track of my oestrogen levels. It's a lot for a needle phobe! I think my oestrogen will be ok - you know those opks with the flashy face? I never get the flashy face (they go straight to peak) and I think this is because my oestrogen naturally does not rise much before ovulation ( the flashy face shows when oestrogen rises before the LH surge) . So, hoping it follows this pattern during IVF as this will mean no OHSS!

Good luck ladies nearing testing dates. I have my fingers crossed for all of you. Really hoping this thread proves to be super lucky.

goinggrey1978 · 19/03/2016 10:48

Everhopeful76, hi my consultant wanted to do everything as naturally as possible for me, i had the g something injection in my butt, then had to take proganova (hrt medication) which turn off my ovulation but keeps my womb lining ready, next scan on tuesday, think i start taking pessaries again soon, donor lady went on the pill to get rid of a cyst, i didn't have to take the pill this time, i did in my first ivf cycle, sorry i have no idea what luteal support is? what do you mean medication?

Kwick709 · 19/03/2016 11:23

notspartacus do they usually count your follicles on the baseline? They didnt with me - just checking all ok in there. Good luck with injections - you will be grand :) what are you on?
It is good they are doing daily bloods as this means they can control you loads more,
Being a pin cushion will be worth it!

goinggrey my luteal support consists of putting crinone gel up my fanjo twice a day and injecting progetsterone once a day plus taking progynova. I also inject clexane (anti clotting meds) and take 75mg of aspirin daily.

goinggrey1978 · 19/03/2016 11:37

oh i see Kwick709, yes pessaries twice a day, aspirin, folic acid, can't remember about the progynova, but most likely, guess i'll find out more on tuesday, i'll ask about all that on tuesday, last time i wasn't allowed to lift or carry anything heavy is that still the case??
