Yes, you are not alone. DS was conceived within 3 months. DD is now nearly one, and she took 3 years. Including a mmc. At the end of the two years we went to see the cons. No problems found, at the time I was almost hoping they did find a problem so there could be a reason WHY nothing was happening. Anyway before we got much further with the investigations I thought I was pg and that ended when we went for 12 week scan to be told that although I had been pg, I was no longer, but hadn't actually miscarried. That was a very tough summer. The fert cons when we eventually got back to her just said, well there was no problem we found and you have been pg, so go and do it again. (She said it much nicer than that but that was the general idea!)
It is tough, but there are many threads on the conception threads with people going through exactly the same thing.
You have conceived once. You can and will do it again. I did, and dd is gorgeous and worth (most of) the wait!
You will have some tough times, even the postie said to me "Isn't it time to have another one?" Managing not to thump people on the day rtd (red tide of doom!) shows up again can be classed as an achievement.
I eventually decided to obsess about trying to lose weight instead of days of the month and whether I needed to drag dh by his hair to the cave!
There will be tears, sorry. Have a look through the threads and introduce yourself.
Good luck. I hope I have helped.
