Blood test results and hysteroscopy on Monday: what questions should I ask consultant?

Hi everyone,

I am off to the hospital on Monday for a hysteroscopy and to get blood test results (day 2 and 21 bloods were recently done). I had surgery 2 years ago for endometriosis and a recent MRI suggests PCOS on one ovary, hence the blood tests. Also, my cycles are getting longer every month - last was 37 days, previously 36, 35...etc. They are doing the hysteroscopy for mid cycle spotting. Oh, and 12 years ago I had precancerous cells removed from my cervix. Gosh, it sounds like a right mess down there!!

I am 34, DH is 38 and we have been TTC #1 for six months (which I know is not very long). We are technically eligible for NHS fertility treatment should the need arise.

Anyway, I'm quite nervous about the whole thing, but want to make sure I ask the consultant all the right questions about results, next steps, recommendations etc. I'm at the gynaecology clinic at the hospital but the consultant also works for the IVF clinic attached to the hospital.

Obviously I'll note down the blood test results, but is there anything else I should be asking about or pushing for? The consultant muttered something about Clomid last time, depending on blood test results.

Your wisdom is appreciated! Thank you.
