Gonal f, 2nd round of IVF, increased from 300 to 900IU. Why?

Does anyone have any idea why?

On our last round of IVF last year we had 5 embryos, 1 highest quality and 1 just below which good quality egg collection.

The change in cost of drugs due to this is massive :( Can anyone shed some light?

How many eggs were collected last time?

I'm sure we had around 10. We had a successful IVF in 2005 and collected 8 and I know we had more than that.

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you have your AMH rechecked? We 'band' patients based on their AMH results so maybe you have moved into a different band and a different protocol?
Another thing is maybe your clinic have changed protocols so now start on a high dose to recruit lots of follicles then drop the dose as your cycle progresses (step down regime).
I think you need to ask your clinic.

We did have our AHM redone. Think that's what it might be.

Is there any other factors that can affect your AHM? I have a small cyst on my ovary...

I am thinking would I have a higher success with a younger egg donor? (I'm 33 so imo not old).
