Does anyone have any advice on the best place to purchase the drugs required.

The nurse at my clinic said some people were using Asda. We used Homecare last year and they were good but would like to save some money if we can.

Can you see prices on the internet or do you have to call?

I don't know where to start - other than visiting Asda pharmacy and calling Homecare for a quote.

I phoned Boots, Asda and compared prices with private clinic I was using. Asda at time were selling pretty much at cost and about half price of Boots. So went with Asda! They really bent over backwards to help us.

Thank you - when was that if you don't mind me asking.

I'll have my prescription in a few weeks so do you think it would be best to call about then rather than now?

I hope Asda is still similar.

Just looked at their website and they state they are selling IVF drugs not for profit so fingers crossed!!

I got them in April and July 2011. At the time I think they were also not for profit. You'll need a prescription to get the quote as the drugs prescribed vary quite a lot and the dosage is tailored to the individual.

Good luck!

Another vote for Asda. I shopped around a year ago, got quotes from various places (including Homecare) and Asda were cheaper by hundreds of pounds. You do need the prescription in order to get the quote, but they sell at cost and it all seemed quite straightforward and fast (did it all over the phone/via email).
