I was recently in the far east and there was a news item about a boy in Indonesia ( around 3, I think) who had a fag and a coffee in the afternoon.

This seems like the parents saw that and upped the ante.

Mind you, how many times have I heard, seen or read that? OK, not about the fags but about parents giving in to their child's bad behaviour because it's easier for them in the short term.

Well, there's something my mil says about that. "You cry now or you cry later" and I think it's true. Either face the tantrums and be firm now, or go for the easy life now and look at a total out of control BRAT or damaged child (or in this case a 15 yr old with lung cancer!) and weep in regret of your totally shit excuse for parenting.

That's a total head-f*ck, watching a 2 year old smoking like a 50 year old cab driver.

That's one of those urban myths. It's bad for anyone at any age to smoke because it clogs the lungs up gradually and in some cases it can trigger cancer (but not in everyone)

I think it's madness though and so is the weight/lack of exercise. That will probably kill him first as it goes.

i don't think he looks like a two-year-old.

it's far more likely that he's an adult with one of those aging conditions that make him look like a child.
