isn't this kind of sad? do we not have a right to protest?

It is worrying. During the election campaign someone was arrested and handcuffed because he displayed a "Cameron is a Wanker" poster in his window

What exactly have they arrested him for?

Just because they can? Stamping on the little men....

Talk about freedom of speech.

No comment on arrest, I don't know the ins and outs of it. But I don't understand why he or anyone else has been allowed to camp on the square all these years, that's a bit different to a picket protest (yes I saw the bit about the loophole). I hate seeing such an eyesore in what should be a lovely open space in the centre of London. Gawd I must be feeling cranky today - flame me!

Heavens, I really am a thread-killer!

I think it's terrible. I walk past him quite regularly and he doesn't seem at all well. He might be a minor annoyance to politicians but he's not doing any harm.

I always used to feel proud seeing all the anti war signs opposite parliament - I felt lucky to live in such a tolerant country

He's charged with obstructing police as they searched the tents on the green. Given that it was the state opening of parliament yesterday you'd expect a security sweep in the area.
