I mean Wow! that he managed to survive it at all along with his pilot (who i understand is not doing quite so well) but the pic being plastered all over the BBC at the mo of him 'probably unconcious' in the cockpit is a bit graphic.

What if something were to happen to him now iyswim.

I have been reading about it on the BBC website and haven't yet seen a photograph. There is a video, but it doesn't show anything bar the plane.

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 06/05/2010 13:22

Yes agree, friend and I turned it off.

ReneRusso · 06/05/2010 13:26

saw blood spattered picture on sky news, very tasteless

AnnieBeansMum · 06/05/2010 16:01

That's horrible - I think I may avoid the news for the next few days.

JustBlameSue · 06/05/2010 16:05

have they removed it? I cannot see any pic.

Clary · 06/05/2010 16:05

Yes I agree.

I am a journalist and I wouldn't use that pic.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 16:06

the picture was way too graphic.

I think they've removed it from everywhere now

kreecherlivesupstairs · 07/05/2010 08:05

Even dd (9) said it shouldn't be shown.

Magaly · 07/05/2010 10:01

I saw that last night and wondered if there'd be complaints.

grapeandlemon · 07/05/2010 10:02

Awful, really disturbing coverage of him

WillowM2B · 07/05/2010 10:04

Absolutely horrible and completely unecessary.

potplant · 07/05/2010 10:04

I saw it on the Telegraph website this morning, they're in very poor taste.

Shame on the photoographer for taking the pictures in the first place.

I thought that too, was really shocked to see it on TV. I also thought (am def not a UKIP supporter) that the news reader was a bit smarmy saying that he would have to watch his constituency count from his hosp bed, thought there should be some sympathy for him being injured.

Eglu · 07/05/2010 10:42

Those photographs in the Telegraph are absolutely appalling. No way should they be published.

MajesticScallop · 08/05/2010 09:07

Anyone get the Times yesterday? They had one big story about the election covering the front page. The final paragraph read:

"Had Mr Farage failed to survive the crash, the Buckingham poll would have been rerun in four weeks, and the new Commons would have had to elect a Speaker other than Mr Bercow."

Revolting bit of writing - let's not let his inconvenient survival get in the way of telling a good story eh!

And they published the pics too. Horrible.

BertieBotts · 08/05/2010 09:11

I thought the picture was horrible too. Also noticed a newsreader trying not to snigger slightly when reading out the part about the huge banner. Not a UKIP supporter in the slightest, but a bit low I thought.

MollieO · 08/05/2010 09:24

Not a UKIP supporter but I was horrified at how broadly published this photo was. Every news outlet seemed to show it/print it.
