Is anyone watching paper review on Sky news? James Whale = Twat
Ranting about "Lesbian parents are not equal to a man and wman"...."I always thought the benefit of being gay was not having children"..."you've got to have a man and woman to make a child"
Eamon Holme's face was like this

I'm waiting for an apology actually from Sky news. It was quite shocking the things he said.

i dont undertsand you

WorzselMummage · 19/04/2010 08:21

You do need a man and a woman to make a child t'is just how it works..

whifflegarden · 19/04/2010 08:29

Click
Yes Worzsel, but in the context he jusst sounded crazy ranting about how the law is stupid and lesbian couples shouldn't be equal to men/woman couples.
He is entitled to his views but it was awful to watch. Eamon and other presenter (don't know name) made feeble attempts to challenge him. And Eamon's mouth was all screwed up but there you go.
I fully expect that there are bigoted people out there but it's still surprises me when I see them express those views without shame.

I didn't see it, but what does James Whale know about this issue anyway? Do they have him on just because he's a rent-a-gob? This is why I don't watch the news any more, and especially not Sky News.

GypsyMoth · 19/04/2010 08:32

Well what else would you expect from James whale?

PortBlacksandDweller · 19/04/2010 08:33

No but i did have BBC Breakfast on and saw the business guy go VERY RED when he accidently said "Cock up the Toss" instead of "Tot up the Cost"

Whale is a has been wanker anyway....

whifflegarden · 19/04/2010 08:34

I know, Sky news = J Kyle grown up. drives me mad sometimes.
It's not so much whether or not it's right that the couple should be recognised on the birth cert, I would have been fine with him arguing that. I was just at the way he went off about him being traditional and it being wrong for gay couples to parent etc

He is a complete idiot, if I switch on and he is discussing the papers I switch off.

Love Sam Delaney though, so funny. Apparently new editor of Heat magazine, am like this .

LadyBlaBlah · 19/04/2010 09:57

OMG I used to listen to James Whale on some local radio station around here about 15 years ago. I had not heard of him since and had presumed he had been rightly banned from any form of entertainment show. Seems I was wrong and the leopard still wears his spots. I always thought Jeremy Kyle must have listened to the same radio show and modelled himself on James Whale.

I saw this and was shocked at what he said too! The next bit where he was talking about the family who couldnt pay the vets bills was a little ...well...harsh as well.

Rockbird · 19/04/2010 11:15

James Whale does the drive show on LBC. I really like him but he is a reactionary old git and you have to take half of what he says with a pinch of salt. He talks a lot of sense the other half of the time (not this)

JW is a twonk of the highest order but I do think there should be an official record of the biological parents. No problem with lesbian/gay couples putting both names down but there should be mention of the other person who contributed half the genes.

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 19/04/2010 18:51

But even for your bog-standard mum/dad situation, you don't have to put the dad on the birth cert if you're not married. So it's not intended to be a 100% record of your genes...

edam · 19/04/2010 18:54

Dunno what the rules are wrt egg/sperm donation - anonymity has gone, hasn't it, so children can trace the donor? Maybe that's the answer, the actual parents who intend to bring you up on the certificate but a record of both genetic parents somewhere else?
