shocker

I was a bit sad for them when I read this but perhaps they will be able to remain on good terms. I always thought they were well suited to each other.

loobyloo2010 · 06/04/2010 21:43

Agree, I felt a bit sad when I heard this too.

nikos · 06/04/2010 22:16

I was really shocked by this as I've been reading her autobiography and they seemed very close. Wonder what could have happened after all those years together. I think their adopted daughter has been very challenging from reading her book.

MaisietheMorningsideCat · 06/04/2010 22:17

Very sad - and after 25 years together

Rockbird · 06/04/2010 22:20

Shame Didn't they separate a few years back for a while? I wasn't completely surprised when I heard this so I don't think I dreamt it. It's always quite heartwarming when 'celebrity' couples manage to stay together as there seem to be more odds stacked against him.

magicOC · 06/04/2010 23:18

RockBird, i'm with you on that one.

I was shocked to hear today of their seperation as I honestly thought they were divorced years ago?

They must have got back together again (talk about stating the bloody obvious

BenHer · 07/04/2010 09:19

25 yrs is not a bad innings.Good luck to them both.

tiredemma · 07/04/2010 09:21

A friend has put on her FB status that she is 'devastated' by this news. Bit excessive , non?- given that she knows neither on a personal level.

said · 07/04/2010 23:25

Yeah, my partner wasn't shocked either by news. I was more surprised that she could manage 25 years with Lenny Not Funny Henry. But, 25 years is a successful marriage, surely? A successful marriage doesn't mean it has to last forever.

Stretch · 08/04/2010 00:08

Didn't he have an affair??
I agree it is sad. I think she is very funny.

MatesNeedPals · 08/04/2010 09:06

Seems the last 10 yrs since his affair have been troubled for them.

Oblomov · 08/04/2010 09:10

shocker ?
come on. hardly a surprise, is it ?

BariatricObama · 08/04/2010 09:12

why does teh article tell us where she went to school? where did he go to school? who cares?

good luck to them both

Besom · 08/04/2010 09:19

It sounds as if it might have been a case of them staying together until the daughter was old enough to do her own thing. If so, it may have been planned for quite a while and probably is fairly amicable.

(My parents did this and then continued to function in much the same way they always had, just living in seperate houses, rather than seperate bedrooms.)

southeastastra · 08/04/2010 09:19

both as annoying as each other so maybe less annoying apart

BariatricObama · 08/04/2010 09:20

yes lets hope they aren't going to concentrate on their 'careers'

Oblomov · 08/04/2010 09:47

She didn't go to a school in Plympton. She went to a school in Plymouth. I know becasue I went there too.
Not that this has any relevance to anything, as Obama points out !!!

Oblomov · 08/04/2010 09:48

laff at not concentrating on their careers. oh yes, please save us.
