... but mainly would any of shag a 70something-year-old man in your early thirties?

BTW, each to their own, it doesn't bother that SHE is with a man this old, I just wonder if others feel it's a bit yucky or is it just me?

I'm marking my place 'cos I'll be really interested to see what other people have to say about this...

mustrunmore · 02/04/2010 18:10

I quite like older men. And tbh, if I'm honest , the issue here is that he's not attractive, rather than the fact he's old. Shallow but true.

gobsmackedetal · 02/04/2010 18:13

but HOW old. I mean, if you're 20 and you meet a 40 or even 50yo, and then this man you love grows to be 70, 80, 90, I can see it. But to be attracted to someone who's already in his 70s when you're only 30... I dunno.

And yeah, I can't imagine he was ever yummy

Have you not heard about the (supposed) grandmother and grandson having a baby by surrogate as she is 76 or something?!?!

Will be back with link!

VengefulKitty · 02/04/2010 18:17

Then again, don't hold out too much hop for me finding anything - it was in a glossy crappy sleb mag at my mates house!

Miggsie · 02/04/2010 18:18

I wonder what on earth they have in common?

I can't see him doing the night time feed.

She'll be changing the babies nappies and his colostomy bag at the same time by the look of it.

On the other hand, he may be fabulously rich,. she may hope he pegs out soon and leaves her on her own with baby and bags of cash?

DuelingFanjo · 02/04/2010 18:19

"At seventy six years of age, Denis Ealam from Lincoln could well be Britain's oldest dad"

The pedantt in me is really twitching.

gobsmackedetal · 02/04/2010 18:21

yeah, see, if I was her, this is what I'd think people think -bares with him til he kicks the bucket and she gets the cash. But then I like giving people the benefit of the doubt. BTW, this is their second surprise baby.

I just had a really evil thought... ARE they HIS children? Can a 76yo get it up? No offence to any older people, I'm trully clueless about what happens to men sexually at that age...

FabIsGettingThere · 02/04/2010 18:25

Well they look pretty happy to me.

Not all women are with older men for their money and tbh it doesn't look like they have much.

gobsmackedetal · 02/04/2010 18:26

and he has like tons of children and grandchildren anyway, so it's not like there would be much left for her, even if she was after it

arsesandoldlace · 02/04/2010 18:30

The children look really happy and smiley though!

Theoretically speaking I'd probably shag a good looking older man, why not?

mustrunmore · 02/04/2010 18:35

Nah, she's not with him for money. They're prob like me and dh; happy in their odd way
Did it say how long they've been together?
Btw, the oldest age gap I've ever had was with a man about 55/56 (cant recall exactly) when I was 22, and that felt very normal

TheCrackFox · 02/04/2010 18:38

I will believe it when I see the results of a DNA test.

FabIsGettingThere · 02/04/2010 18:38

I had a 35 year old boyfriend when I was 19. Looking back I can't believe that is all he was now that I am 38.

Rockbird · 02/04/2010 18:40

Well, let's hope they're still smiley and happy when their father kicks the bucket in 3, 4, 5, 6 whatever years' time. But that's ok, he's only their dad. Doesn't matter how old your dad is, does it? Let's all applaud the oh so responsible 76 year old father...

gobsmackedetal · 02/04/2010 18:48

see RB, according to DH's theory, this is when she takes the cash and goes to live with the babies' REAL father.

DF, lol, was thinking the same thing.

OMG can't believe he is getting laid much less parenting with his looks! (never mind his age)

Rockbird · 02/04/2010 19:12

Ooh, your DH is wicked gobsmack

gobsmackedetal · 02/04/2010 21:23

yep, that's why I love him

It is old BUT you cant exactly ban it. My husband father was in his late 60s when my husband was born and died just a year later BUT then again my mother had me in her early twenties and still died before I reached adulthood so you never know.
