Ambulance service gets £38 for patients they don't take to hospital

The Ambulance service is being paid bonuses for not taking patients to hospital in a bid to help the NHS hit controversial targets.

Yet another reason for kicking this govt into touch - I read the article before going to bed last night and was shocked by it, but sadly, not surprised.
