Lousy "wait and see" attitude which is pretty prevalent in the NHS it saves money. Also there is a tendency to treat some patients as instant hypochondriacs, that also saves money! But ranting gerneralisations aside, it stems from the way Medicine is now taught in the UK. The big academic shake up has been a recipie for disaster with Medics spending too much time in Lecture Halss with Hypothetical cases and not enough on the ward teaching with the senior Clinicians. When confronted with a eal life patient with baffling systems confusion its a sorry mess really!

PeedoffWithNits its a shame no one has joined this thread I had a good cry listening to that poor man talking about his dd.

What a waste
Poor woman and poor family

So easy to dismiss some hysterical woman soon after giving birth. Apparently it's a well-known medical fact that women are governed by their hormones and are complete flakes, can't deal with a little discomfort, blow their little aches and pains out of proportion, and complain for the fun and attention it brings.

Feel so sorry for that poor man, the DH involved, and the two lovely children. So sad.
