Apparently We Fight Like Ferrets!! Result!!

Yeah, I saw that - front page too (slow news day!).

Good grief.

Thinking about this:

1. sorry, my title sounds like somem pervy girl-fight set up by a pornographic director

2. What do ferrets fight like?

I sometimes read Zoe Williams' stuff as an exercise in concentration.

But I always find my mind wandering before I've made it much past the intro.

It's the convoluted sentence construction peppered with quirky phrases such as 'Man alive!'.

It's the same as when she's on telly. She might be making a really good point (though probably not) but I'm too often distracted by the thought: 'you've done the buttons on your blouse up wrong again and I can see your bra'.

Still, I'm grateful that to her continued use of the word 'otiose' eventually made me look it up.

I discovered it meant: 'serving no useful purpose'
