I have just recieved a text giving the alleged new name, present location (before prison). As well as the crime Jon Venables is supposed to have committed. The sender said they did not know if it was true but to pass on to as many people as possible. AIBU to give the sender (a close friend) a telling off for spreading what could be very damaging false information.

Are the initials DC? And is the location Fleetwood? If so, this allegation has been around for 5 years, has been disproven, and was and is incredibly distressing for the man who was threatened along with his family and had to have panic buttons installed in his house.

The poor chap lilybolero is referring to is now too scared to leave his house and has had panic buttons installed in his house by the police.

All because he served time in a Liverpool prison. Though for fraud.
