Woma sues over Step-mum being called 'mum'

"The Family Court declined to make an order that the child not refer to her stepmother as "Mummy-D", saying it hoped she would grow out of the term and begin calling her stepmother by her first name.

But surely if the child has been calling the stepmum 'Mummy' since she has been able to talk, then why would the child 'grow out of it'

that's all a bit sad isn't it. Using the child as a pawn in the bitterness battle, I mean. And I'm talking about both parents here, not just the mum.
