What do you think the thinking is behind this "story"? Is it to make the tories seems less scary? Seems higly unlikely but there must be a reason for creating teh story - being on the Mail an all

"As a director of Bond Street stationery firm Smythson and daughter of aristocrat Sir Reginald Sheffield, Mrs Cameron is not a natural Labour supporter ? but she was a black-clad ?goth? in her teens."

I love it...

Didnt manage to read it to the end as it is a badly written article.

But the kind of labour voter who reads the mail is likely to be very right of centre. They may have only voted labour as a protest. Samantha is welcoming them back to the tory heartland.

eh, it's just Phil Space headline-making. Lot of nonsense.

Personally I like this response from the 'best rated' ;

"Bah, that's nothing. I have it on equally good authority that Alex Salmond votes Welsh Nat, Nick Griffin is a closeted RESPECT supporter, and Charles Kennedy is considering a defection to Sinn Fein.

  • John, London, "

That about says it all really.

Think its Tory party HQ suggesting that if you once voted Labour in your callow (and possibly Goth) youth it's OK to vote Tory because they are the caring party now (wonders if Norman Tebbitt has read article )

Do ya really think they are that smart? Look at their campaign to date..

There's probably going to be a poster campaign from labour saying 'even she wont vote conservative'.
