I'm pretty sure they have.

dramaqueen72 · 07/07/2005 12:25

I believe they are down to a very few running still, and those are stopping too. I hope you get hold of your dh very soon.

the ones from waterloo seem OK (only saying that because I was able to take one earlier). I would check on the rail network website to check

poppy101 · 07/07/2005 12:26

Some train stations have closed, look online on the train network and they should mention which ones have closed!!

Iklboo · 07/07/2005 12:26

I've heard all trains, buses in Zone 1 and National Express coaches into/out of London have all been stopped.

Nemo1977 · 07/07/2005 12:27

DH just called and his trains are still running relatively well, a few big stations closed outside of london.

Obviously stations in london are closed but most over ground trains
are ok

NomDePlume · 07/07/2005 13:26

DH got on a train from Paddington to Oxford at 12.10, so they are still running.

Aero · 07/07/2005 13:28

I've just been checking WAGN trains, this is the message on their website:

THE FOLLOWING SERVICE IS BEING PUT INTO OPERATION. INNER SERVICES HALF HOURLY FROM FINSBURY PARK AT XX.00 AND XX.30 TO WELWYN GARDEN CITY AND AT XX.15 AND XX.45 TO HERTFORD NORTH . SERVICES TO AND FROM PETERBOROUGH AND CAMBRIDGE TERMINATING AT WELWYN GARDEN CITY LEAVING WELWYN GDN CITY AT XX.00 AND 00.30 FOR CAMBRIDGE AND XX.15 AND XX.45 FOR PETERBOROUGH. SERVICES LEAVE PETERBOROUGH AT XX.15 AND XX.45 AND LEAVE CAMBRIDGE AT XX.00 AND XX.30. PASSENGERS FOR MELDRETH, SHEPRETH AND FOXTON JOIN A BUS AT ROYSTON. SERVICES TO KINGS LYNN START FROM CAMBRIDGE. ALL TRAINS STOPPING AT ALL STATIONS.

Obviously, they do also say that this is subject to change and short notice cancellations/alterations etc.

Would guess that other operatorts would be attempting something similar, i.e. running skeleton services as near to London as possible, to stations where they can turn trains round.
