cancelled

Who thinks they just didnt fancy it in the snow?

Seriously though, the media attention on this has been impressive, they didnt actually plan a march as such jusst announced an intention to do so at some point and the bloke got to be all over tv and in the papers, i think they have been serving an attention seeking agenda very well

Blame the media - they gave this idiot airtime. He should have been completely ignored imo.

I heard him on the radio talking about it last week, and he expressly said that his intention was to get a huge amount of publicity, which is why he was intending to hold it in WB instead of London, for example. So he has succeeded in his aim, far better than any march would have done.

I know they say that any publicity is good publicity, but this really hasn't been has it. He is exposed as what he is to muslim and non-muslim alike.

I notice that the DM (so possibly true) claims he and others are practising Sharia law already in the matter of weddings and so on. Telling the women not to register the marriage (so leaving them unprotected under UK law) That should be a cause for concern to the government and to all of us. There is only one law in this country.

(i probably shouldnt say this on this thread but onager, why do you think that women are less protected if unmarried in uk law? i'm only asking as i have done exactly as above (not on advice of any such group) and thought that the only benefit in being married in a civil service as well, was that if dh was to die i would receive widows allowance/benefit......is it posssible i could loos more? we dont own a property, and do have life insurance which names the other parent as the beneficary in each case)

Lets hope Alan Johnson still bans this group as he said he would and a 'deal' hasn't been done instead.
