I thought he'd died ages ago, poor old Luther

DH likes to watch a live concert video from 1992 with Luther and Ava Cherry, you have never seen so many rhinestones on a tuxedo in your life

What a great loss to music

So sad.

I bought his album dance with my father only last week after everyone was talking about the song on the fathers day thread.

OMG - just seen this. He was so young
Not a massive fan, just shocked that someone who i mentally picture as being young and full of life has been so ill and died. Very sad, his poor family must be so upset. Did he leave any children ?

Nemo1977 · 02/07/2005 07:53

aww so young although i always thought he was older than that for some reason

KBear · 02/07/2005 09:09

He was the voice of my teenage years and my twenties and could sing a love song to melt your heart. I thought he was great.

Thomcat · 02/07/2005 09:15

Oh, blimey that's so young. He was the voice of my young teenage years. Mirror and hairbrush, Luther on my tape deck! Oh man, RIP Luther

Caribbeanqueen · 02/07/2005 09:27

I saw him in concert in Barbados a few years back. Not because I was a huge fan, but because I happened to be there anc a couple of people I knew were going. He was fantastic.
