This is so so sad - in the news today

What became of Romania's neglected orphans?

You may have watched a Channel 4 documentary about children in Bulgaria - mogoilino
revisited

So terribly sad

My hands are cold, my feet are cold but at least I have the luxury of heating, food, family, friends, nice comfy bed, books etc etc

I didn't see it but funnily enough was thinking about the Romanian children this morning and wondering how things have changed for them.

how awful

It does make you realise how very lucky we are yes, but I am so that the romanian government have had all this money and those people are suffering like this. I actually feel a little sick. DS has a disability - not a severe physical one - but the thought of the disabled orphans in the institution with the building seperate from the able bodied without so much as a pair of socks makes me want to weep.

LauraIngallsWilder · 21/12/2009 22:25

It makes me weep too
I have watched the mogoiono programme three times and wept through it each time

So tragic that the romanian, bulgarian governments havent done more to help these children (and adults)

I wish there was more that I could do to help - but realistically Im not sure what I could do

I couln't see the link before... just watched it and feel desperately sad.

O God, this makes me sick inside my head and stomach, I wish the world was a better place

This story has been covered on the 10 o'clock news this week. It made me cry to watch the children, now adults or teenagers still being neglected.
The world is a cruel place.
