I can't believe I seeing this on the national news nearly 14 years after I had my dd at this hospital. I was left for 36 hours and eventually had my dd dragged out of me by forceps, she was battered and bruised. I lost 4 pints of blood which nobody noticed until they did a blood test on discharge 4 days later. I was then asked to return to the hospital to have a transfusion, which I refused as I was treated so appalingly during my stay that there was no way I was going back until my gp phoned me and told me that I wouldn't be able to recover unless I went back in for a transfusion, so eventually I agreed. My dd by this time was very ill as she had received no food as I was breastfeeding and my body was not able to produce any milk as it was struggling to keep my vital organs going. I don't talk about this to anybody as I find it extremely distressing and will only write this because I am anonymous, but I cannot believe that this is still going on at this hospital so many years later.

I was pretty shocked at this and feel for people expecting in the area. 5 midwives to 13 labouring women is shocking. Very sad.
