some of the comments down the page are shocking. It makes me so sad to think there are such horrible people in the world.

What is WRONG with people? Why are people so narrow minded? How can they think that's a good way to make their point?
IMO She's done really well - very articulate and knowledgeable.

well i suppose TSH that i felt it was taken as read that the egg pelters were completely in the wrong. I didnt need to say it - i suppose that's why i was so shocked at the comments, because they didnt agree with my revulsion.

I must say that I don't mind a bit of egg throwing in politics, we should definately treat our politicians with the contempt they've traditionally had from us. It gets a bit dangerous when you believe the line politicians spin saying we have to be polite to them at all times and never demonstrate our opinions.

Of course we should all be grown up about politics, but when many politicians are lying, cheating scumbags, the gloves are off.

Although saying that, it's a whole different matter to wonder whether the egg throwers were trying to stir up religious hatred, and whether it's acceptable to shout her down publically about it.

I think politicians deserve everthing they get, whether it is eggs, paint or nasty words. They take the piss out of the electorate all the time and then wonder why we don't respect them.

I agree that anger should be directed at the extremists, not the commentators.

Sounds like Baroness Warsi is a fairly sensible person, who's upset a lot of the loony element.
