Basically man killed his wife in his sleep because of a sleep disorder - which both experts agreed was real

Reminds me of a thread on here ages ago from someone who said her DH used to attack/try to attack her in his sleep.

How horrific....she must have known that he was asleep too, poor poor man.

latest update on the BBC website about it is saing that even the psychiatrist who is working for the prosecution thinks she should be given an absolute discharge. What a strange situation for the jury, having to chose between no guilty, or not guilty by reason of insanity when they know that he's admitted killing her.
