does anyone out there know if dads are entitled to only £100/week SPP for the two weeks of stautory paternity leave- or are they entitled to 90% of their normal pay for the two weeks, according to the new rules from 6th april 2003?
any insight into these new rules would be gratefully appreciated. thanks

Only £100/week I'm afraid (or 90% of average weekly earnings if this is less than £100).

Brookstone, as GillW says - sadly it is true. Amazing when you consider the big fuss they made about it before it was introduced!

The leave must be taken as blocks of a week (or the fortnight together) - not as odd days. Also it must be taken within 56 days of the birth (with premature birth - it can be taken from date of birth to 56 days after the excpected dated of birth).
