Wow, she looks so different in those computer generated 'aged' photos. The darker skinned one is quite thought provoking isn't it...maybe she is alive in a warmer clime somwehere.

Can never forget Madeleine.
It would be my dearest wish to hear that she had been found. Frequently think of her and imagine the joy of her being found alive and well.
Either way, dead or alive, it would be merciful for her parents to find out. What a terrible,enduring fate her parents have to live with. A hell on earth.

i really hope, that one day her parents are able to find out what happened to her, but am just not sure the computer generated images are going to be much help. imo, they have made her look far too old.

I thought that lucykate. My DD (Madeleine too incidently) is nearly 8 and looks younger than the images on the video.

I've just seen the computer images and agree that they have aged her too much.

Hope that one day this mystery of what happened to this poor child is resolved.

It's interesting about the darker skin. I would never have thought of her like that and if I had seen a girl who looked like the photo I would never have thought of Madeleine. I hope something comes of it.

But she is so very pale, I personally doubt that her skin would tan so dark.
And why also the darkened hair, as if she was in the sun so much to get so tanned, wouldn´t it "bleach"?

I saw the appeal on This Morning yesterday and was very moved.

I just wonder how it will ever end and how Ben Needham's mum feels when MM has had such a lot more publicity and money behind the search than Ben ever did.

I do feel desperatly sorry for Maddy and hope she is found safe and well and that her parents and family can get some closure on this hideous situation, I cant imagine how they feel, but I still find it hard to get past the fact that they left 3 small children alone while they went out to dinner.

I feel sorry for the twins. It is in the paper today that they will fight the person who took Madeleine when she comes home.

She does look quite old but then she looked older than 3 initially. My dd is 3.5 and looks much younger tha Madeleine looked.

I suppose they are just varying the image to help and remind people that she could be tanned or have darher hair etc.

I just hope that her parents get some closure.

Makes me cry every time- it is heart breaking.

what a nightmare for a dp. Just horrific to have your dc go missing and not know what has happened

I remember when I first heard about Madeleine and I thought she looks so much like all the other little girls I know of that age. Even with her picture in my hand, I would not have felt sure if I had encountered her anywhere that it really was Madeleine I had seen. I know there is that mark on her eye but rarely do I get close enough to a strange dc to be able to see that.

I do wonder if after a few years even her own dp would be able to recognise her, she may have forgotten her name ever was Madeleine, have forgotten English, have forgotten what her dp and siblings looked like. Feel so sorry for families when something like this happens to one of their dc. Desperately sad.

Our dc change so much in a few years. Even if her hair had remained light and her hairstyle unchanged, it would not be easy if you passed a 7 or 8 year old in the street to be sure it was the same dc who went missing aged 4.

I wonder if as a mother you somehow know, somehow recognise your dc. I hope so.

TBH, I would hope that Madeleine would still recognise her parents.

But the whole thing winds me up so much.

It´s a terrible situation,but there´s something about them that doesn´t make me very sympathetic.

Maybe it´s the fact that they left the children.

If she was kidnapped and is being raised in a foreign country, she might well have forgotten English or even that she ever had a different life in England. She disappeared when she was very young and I can't remember much before the age of 4. If she was found (and it would be a truly wonderful thing if she was) I doubt it would be as simple as handing her back to her parents. She might not even want to go.

I hope that her parents eventually find out what happened to her and where she is. I can't imagine what torture it would be lke to not know where my little girl was. No one deserves that

I hope that whereever Madeleine is she is unhurt and at peace, (be she alive or not ).

The Ben Needham case is quite local to us and we have had updates and news reports very so often, and also some age changed photos IIRR, oce it was possible. It has been many many years for that family. I hope they get the relief of knowing also one day.

In all the millions of words that have been written on this tragic story I have yet to hear any comment on Mark Warner and their marketing strategy. The whole selling point of their brochure is centered on Safe Child Care.
All the comforting words are there. Safe, secure, nannies, child free dining,kids clubs and all the rest.
Having been on holiday with them pre Madeleine, it was easy to fall into a relaxed, safe holiday mood.
I remember when I was there (not Portugal) thinking "this is really nice, everyone here is a family member, it all seems a safe little bubble". I allowed my very own Madeleine to have some freedom she would not have at home.

Although there was baby listening service, I still could never leave my DC on their own at night, but most parents did and I can understand how the McCanns fell into this comfortable illusion.
