Because I appllied in June and despite ringing them a couple of times a week, sending all the correct information etc etc. It is still being validated 'in the final stages dear' I am having to travel 30 miles each way to Uni and I am paying childcare for 2 children (have a severely disabled one aswell but she gets specialist after school childcare..) The emergency loan from Uni does not even cover my childcare.

I wondered if this was affecting anyone else?

Is this the first year of your course?

I'm in the 2nd year of my degree, and got my student loan through on 30 July, which was 3 weeks BEFORE I even started the semester!!!!! I hadn't even enrolled at that stage! My friends were all that I got the money, and they had to wait months for theres... some of them only got theirs at the start of October.

I'm sorry to read about your troubles with it, but the student loans company is staffed by monkeys and I think my story is the opposite of yours.... you're getting your loan really late, and I got my really early!

Just keep ringing them or emailing them. Hope you get it sorted soon.
