Car Savvy women

I was pretty chuffed to read about car women being much more car wise these days, and happy to see that is getting recognised in the media. Just wondered what other peoples thoughts were on this?

I don't reckon me and DH would have stayed together had I not got into cars! He was teaching me 0-60 times, which cars shared chassis, all about F1 etc so I didn't really have a choice but then I actually started to enjoy it and I would now consider myself to be quite car savvy. He's now bought a sports bike and I have absolutely no interest in that!
I think the media recognising women's interest in cars is great and also, I really think that more women need to get into the engineering industry.
