I don't understand the point of this petition.

They have been democratically elected. If you don't like it then campaign to reform the electoral system so it is more representative of actual views (ie proportional representation) or campaign at the grass roots to get people to vote for someone else.

Let's not give these people any more importance than they deserve and instead focus our energies on the important issues.

there are so many pointless petitions these days, set up by people that don't understand anything about government or the democratic process - this is another one.
