These here are my favorite biscuits (the fruit and spice ones), they are an oat biscuit though and not an oat cake .

Oatcake, I think, was "research" by the Times when they covered the biscuit issue at weekend. It was probably nothing more than a phonecall so that they could trump the PM. Not that clever.

I'm getting peed off about how this is being blown beyond all proportion, discussed beyond anything reasonable, and given a level of importance which it really doesn't deserve.

At best, to ask the question, was being satirical in response to the PM's stock answers on the webchat.

At worst... well, we've seen the point scoring which has happened as a result. I don't think we were wrong to ask the quesiton, I think it reflects really badly on the media and politicians to have jumped on it so much.
