Assume JT means something about the bloke, hunker.

It is fab news, and that she is off the ventilator!

Gwenick · 12/06/2005 13:22

aww that's great news. If she's 12/13 weeks pg then she'd probably have just found out before she was attacked

tortoiseshell · 12/06/2005 13:30

Am so happy for her and her family - they deserve this good news.

edam · 12/06/2005 14:10

how lovely. and how wonderful that she's continuing to improve and is off ventilation.

Sax · 12/06/2005 14:48

Its good the baby is ok HOWEVER I am so sad about the whole situation she is in and I worry for her family, her baby, her state of mind - everything - its just so tradgic. I don't want to put a dampener on this thread, just being realistic that its such a sad situation and I feel so anxious about her and her life! She and her family are very religious which her faith can hopefully help them all come through this but I find optimism very hard after such a devasting thing to have happened.

hunkermunker · 12/06/2005 14:50

I'm just really hopeful that she'll continue to improve - she has feeling they never thought she would, she's breathing unaided and can sit up too - when you think what the prognosis was at the beginning, this is amazing!

Having had a partner paralysed (we're not together anymore), I am deeply concerned that this poor woman is being propped up higher and higher on a pedestal - especially by her husband. It's a really shitty thing that's happened - I hope she is given the chance to vent her anger and hatred for what has happened. The whole 'Saint Abigail' thing makes me very uneasy.

Gwenick · 15/06/2005 09:23

highlander - are you a Christian????

Caligula · 15/06/2005 09:44

highlander, how do you know if she feels anger and hatred?

MamaMaiasaura · 15/06/2005 09:59

highlander, i am sure she is receiving psychological input and I am sure her child and husband will also be. I have absolutley no idea whatsoever in terms of the range of emotions that they will be experiencing but I am comforted to believe that she appears to have an extremely supportive husband and family and is receiving care from many professionals.

MamaMaiasaura · 15/06/2005 10:00

sorry - highlander - did you and your ex=partner receive much support? Sorry to hear of your situation.
