Don't come! I'm worrying that I won't be able to get across town to pick ds up from nursery.

Please give the money you'd spend coming to charity. The time as well. That will have a much, much greater impact.

If you do come, please open your tent, gear and sleeping bags to the city's homeless and traveller population, who are not allowed to camp for free in the city's parks.

I have to work in that part of town, Jools, and am seriously concerned about public safety b/c Bob couldn't be arsed to ask the council in advance, just sprang it on them. So it's doubtful the proper resources will be in place.

And of course, b/c the locals will have to pay for all the clean-up, security, services and extra policing that goes along with this unplanned event, the cost will show up in our council tax according. So Bob, in his heroic quest to eradicate world poverty, has saddled Scotland's working poor with the costs of his antics.
