I saw him running near me (Lake District). Very impressive, esp as he had just run up an enormous hill.

Oh fab. Quite a random thing for him to do though isn't it? Wonder if he did any of it in drag...

I was just thinking how we'd heard so little about it, so unlike irritating twit face who swam the channel... from Little Britain.... can't even remember his name now!

I saw him jogging through my town in Leicester last week, couldn't beleive it!

I saw this today. I'm completely stunned - mainly because, like someone else says he doesn;t have a runner's physique, and also because he trained for FIVE weeks. I have a friend who's doing the marathon des sable in a couple of years' time - and he's already training! and I've just finished reading a book about equally ridiculous things like the Bob Graham round and BG plus (Bob Graham round is 42 Lake District peaks in 24 hours, the record for the most LD peaks in 24 hours is 77. equivalent in height and distance to climbing everest 5 times. or something like that) - but I think it confirms what I've long suspected about such extreme achievements - it's all in the mind.

I was wrong. it's closer to one everest. but there was a guy who did every peak in eth LD in a week - and taht was about 5 everests iirc

I do love him, he's an amazing person. Like after the Mumbai attacks, he went to visit a fan who missed his shows in hospital (without dragging along the paparazzi etc.). Other "celebs" have a lot to learn from him.

He's quite wonderful.

Apparently he has got faster - from 10 hours to 5 hours.

A 5 hour marathon is pretty impressive if you're doing one every day.. it's pretty impressive if you're just doing it as a one off, but one a day I'm still reeling from the effort he's put in!

ooh, my sister was telling me she saw him in the lanes near Northampton the other day and wondered exactly what he was up to.

I know people who have come across him at work and say he's a very, very, very nice man indeed.
