Women In labour refused an ambulance!

Can they really do this? This really worries me because if i went into labour suddenly and quickly I have nobody able to get here within an hour.

Memoo - to save you reading the whole thread, if you need an ambulance call 999, not the maternity unit, because some people are saying that the hospital can't send one out to you, it has to be done via 999.

You also need to say you are in labour so they will send a midwife too.
