is anyone else a little concerned about the news articles regarding the possible school closures ?

I read in a tabloid at the weekend that the education board is considering extending the summer break to try and stem the spread of swine flu. If this goes ahead then I am worried about where I am supposed to get the extra money from for a holiday club, or even if they will be open. I don't have any spare holidays and my family live 100 miles away from me. Has anyone heard anything more on this ?

I have only heard it through the grapevine, something to do with there might be a lack of teachers if they are ill.
I hope it doesn't happen

My school has already prepared work for students to access online in the event of closures.

That's not to say it'll happen tho'. I guess it would make sense if there were too many staff off.

This article didn't mention the lack of staff, just that they thought it might stop it spreading more. Just typical that they announce it as the schools have shut for the break and we have to stew til the end of August !
