I thought you meant he'd died.

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 15/07/2009 12:32

Oh shit.

Sorry.

He is retiring

It was the body has had enough FBG

Don't be sad.

He'll make a fortune on the after dinner circuit I'm sure he'll have a happy retirement !

angelene · 15/07/2009 12:50

'Don't be sad'

This is devastating news for cricket fans. I'm sure he's pretty cut up that he won't be able to prove himself in the ultimate form of cricket.

Sagacious · 15/07/2009 12:52

Ach

I am a cricket widow (ds playing dh watching and coaching)

I pray for summers of rain.

This is probably colouring my judgement.

pagwatch · 15/07/2009 12:52

It is sad but he is still available to play for England at CricketLite so will make oodles of money. Seems to happen to our real sports heros - look at poor old Johnnie [glum emoticon]

Mamazon · 15/07/2009 13:01

this will sound terrible but i am soo very glad.

he is the absolute double of my ex. every time i see him flash up in the telly i take a breath. its awful.

even the kids say "look there's daddy"

at least if he retires i wont have to keep seeing him

angelene · 15/07/2009 13:19

Mamazon he's still going to play CricketLite (nice one pag) so in the unlikely event of England ever winning anything in this lesser shorter form of the game then he'll be on telly.

Although we are truly rubbish at this so I'm sure you're safe
