This is just so heartening. What an amazing couple they are.

What I do know is that two of the doctors who first treated her were prepared to give up and certify her DOA but her husband pleaded and pleaded because there were two lives at stake
I would have thought that a continued pregnancy in her current state is absolutely fraught with complications, and I think their profound faith would rule out their choosing a termination. I am hoping against hope for a miracle for them all which includes a healthy baby.
I find them both an absolute inspiration. They must be two of the most courageous and dignified people I have ever read about in the press.

She has a lot to live for which I think must be keeping her determination levels sky high...very brave indeed

Just heard beautiful statements from Abigail and her husband on the radio. Very, very moving. I am a committed atheist, but have to say, their spirit of forgiveness and optimism is utterly humbling.

I was going to post about her today too - partly to ask if it had been in the news about her pregnancy. I haven't seen it mentioned since the very early days after the attack and wondered if the pregnancy was still viable (sorry for horrible terminology). I am so glad she is making such good progress. My Mum said there was a clip on the news of Abigail's little boy, pottering round their garden with a watering can and it made her cry because we have such a similar camcorder tape of ds2.

I hope she continues to make such amazing progress - she's a remarkable woman.
