Ooh, I wonder who it could be that Hadley Freeman is referring to in today's Grauniad?

She makes a good point.

Not friends then?

tigana · 01/07/2009 20:23

oh
DM

probably not then...
and explains much

nickytwotimes · 01/07/2009 20:25

I liked that article.
Who is the 'journo'? I daren't click on dm website.

muffle · 01/07/2009 20:28

Wow Hadley has gone up in my estimation. A real argument with a real point to make and it's a feminist point. And in the Guardian!?

redandgreen · 02/07/2009 09:50

They have being taking little digs at each other recently.

See Hadley here

and LJ responding.

Snurk indeed.

edam · 02/07/2009 18:53

Why am I not surprised that Liz Jones prefers surgical scars to her own natural body?

hifi · 02/07/2009 19:11

crista dasouza looks shocking.

guvk · 02/07/2009 19:36

That is a splendid article. Good for HF.

The Guardian is guilty of this sort of journalism too -- Tanya Gold's pieces often seem exactly as HF is describing.

onebatmother · 02/07/2009 20:00

But, hidden amongst all LJ's "Look at me loathing my own self-loathing- that'll be a grand please" schtick, there are the beginnings of some reasonably interesting points about breasts, what they mean, and how they have become (literally in some cases) detachable from the female body itself.

muffle · 02/07/2009 20:24

Yes I think for all her weirdness and ishoos Liz Jones is an intelligent person who sometimes makes an interesting point, whereas Christa only writes really vacuous stuff.
