How awful for the dad Poor family.

AnyFucker · 29/06/2009 23:12

Oh how awful

This is something that runs through my mind every time I see an accident or hear a siren

I am convinced it is one or more of my own family

lilolilmanchester · 29/06/2009 23:12

oh no, poor family

differentID · 29/06/2009 23:23

It's always been considered an urban myth almost, becasue no one wants to think it could happen.

FAQinglovely · 29/06/2009 23:24

one can only hopes that the father gets a tiny bit of comfort from the fact that he was at least there with his son when he died, and that he didn't die alone .

My thoughts are with them.

I had to interview a poor woman last week whose husband was killed in a car accident. She had a little newborn baby & a 2 yr old child. I was very unprofessional and sobbed my heart out whilst holding her baby

I hope the dad gets some comfort from the fact he was there with his son x

bronze · 29/06/2009 23:33

Connie, I'm sure she appreciated the fact that you so obviously cared

That happened to my dh with his girlfriend before he met me.

She had just overtaken him in her car & as they went round the corner 2 mins later they saw her car crashed, her passenger died instantly & she dies a few days later.

Very tragic.

Did you watch the interview with the father FAQ and bronze? He says that at least he got to be with him and hold him in his last few mionutes, not a lot of people get that. Very true, and I am sure it's some small comfort.

FAQinglovely · 30/06/2009 16:00

No didn't watch it - just reading the story was bad enough
