I agree flowery there's something peculiar about parents accepting money in lieu of justice, which has always for me, been a big red flag about those allegations. OTOH, having seen OJ Simpson get away with murder, the parents may well have been advised that MJ was so rich that he'd buy the jury and therefore they would put their DC's through a criminal trial with no justice at the end of it and therefore it was better to accept money as a form of retribution.

I've always been prepared to believe that it is possible that MJ was so childlike and innocent, as many of those who know him say he was, that he didn't realise the implications of taking a child into his bed and that there was no possibility of abuse. However, where I can't quite reconcile that, is with the fact that he knew enough about sex (apparantly) to conceive 3 children. Those 2 propositions contradict each other, for me.

Kerry- you were here the day they released the trial judgement weren't you? When we all sat online waiting for news?

I can understand your perspective. maybe not your timing.

That clip is so heartbreaking. The potential for a normal, healthy life was there. How tragic that he was not allowed to have that.

And how sad if the same is allowed to happen to his children.

littlelamb · 26/06/2009 09:38

You have a very odd sense of what constitutes evil Kerry

Pan · 26/06/2009 09:39

There is a thread in music for those who want to be reminded of why he was such a star.

HerHonesty · 26/06/2009 09:40

A massive loss to the music world, as far as his music went he was genius.

Heartbreaking for his children.

He seemed to have a very troubled life, and I think he had a lot of people exploit him along the way.

Thoughts are with the family today.

HolyGuacamole · 26/06/2009 09:42

Uri Geller is a tosser! A tosser full of fakery at that! Grrr!

Pan · 26/06/2009 09:44

too many HH!! Find the beat that carries Thriller uttely hypnotic. Show You the Way to Go with his brothers was cool.

but Thriller it has to be. dd is a 9 year old in a street dance outfit - they use bits of Jackos music to do moves to. Decades later.

Pan · 26/06/2009 09:45

well, wrong is the answer on soooo many levels, Kerry. But you won't want to know about that.

HolyGuacamole · 26/06/2009 09:45

His early 80s music is perfect for street dancing, all the jerky moves, love it!

HerHonesty · 26/06/2009 09:47

i know, soooo many, but if you had just one choice.. your desert island disc...?

HolyGuacamole · 26/06/2009 09:47

OK, if it was just one song......Billie Jean

noddyholder · 26/06/2009 09:48

He was a musical genius and an icon of our time.So sad.If he was a paedophile we will probably never know but using that word as a term of abuse is tawdry and tabloid esp without proof.Let him be.Btw paedophilia is not a crime it is a perverse sexual preference for children and is only criminal if acted on in any way. It is truly sick but this social acceptance of using it as a term of abuse is hideous.

Pan · 26/06/2009 09:48

I think to full version of thriller. Icould then spend my time on the island perfecting my thriller dance. For no-one! But myself. That'd be ok. Et toi?

jumpingbeans · 26/06/2009 09:50

I'll be there, was my favorite

RockinSockBunnies · 26/06/2009 09:51

He was an amazing performer and clearly a troubled person. I hope he's now at peace.

daftpunk · 26/06/2009 09:51

pan...has anyone posted thriller yet?

pingping · 26/06/2009 09:51

Regardless of what he may or may not of done Michael Jackson was a musical legend in his own right no doubt about it even in 2009 other artists copy his style dance moves and aspire to be like to him his death will be bigger than Elvis & Princess DI & Tupac Jade Goody....

MJ was a fantastic Artist performer songwriter As for a good person only God can judge.....

He was clearly a legend thats music has gone through generations even now you hear his songs.

KM = Michael Jacksons kids would be mixed race so yes they can be paled skin my god daughters Dad is black there mum white the girls look white with an olive tone skin.

And if he did do things to them children then there parents are as bad as him because no amount of money could ever justify someone touching my kids.

Pan · 26/06/2009 09:54
