did michael did all the london/uk concert a few weeks ago??

TitsalinaBumsquash · 26/06/2009 07:52

I really think that if you now is the time to put the 'If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all' rule.

How can people bad mouth someone whois DEAD, its sick quite frankly, i know Jackson didn't have a lot of supporters left after all that stuff that alegedly happened but if yu didn't like him why not just keep shtum and understand that parents have lost a son, siblings have lost a brother, children have lost a father and people have lost a friend.

There are already jokes pouring ou the woodwork about him and it is really sick that someone thought them up only hours after his death, really makes me fell sad to be prt of a race that can be so heartless.

Same goes for anybody celeb or not.

Also RIP Farrah Fawcett - I don't know a lot about her or what she did or didn't do but i read about her long battle. My thoughs are also with her family.

dietstartstomorrow · 26/06/2009 07:54

RIP Michael

Love to his kids and family.

HecatesTwopenceworth · 26/06/2009 07:56

Sad for his family, but tbh his life was more sad than his death.

I have always felt very sorry for MJ the child. I look at footage of him as a kid and think if only I could reach through the tv and grab you, you poor innocent child.

He may have had fame, and great wealth (mostly), but he seemed like the most mixed up man and despite the millions of fans - truly alone.

What a waste of a life, to spend it on show existing for the entertainment of others.

bradsmissus · 26/06/2009 08:03

Do you think there should be 2 seperate threads. One for fans and people who are gutted and sad and would be upset by people bad mouthing him.

And one for those who want to give their honest opinion, even if it's a negative one.

Sits on fence leaning towards the second thread emoticon.

Ninkynork · 26/06/2009 08:07

A discussion thread and a tribute thread? That might work.

Poor man. His children will need their mother now.

cowardlyhidingname · 26/06/2009 08:07

His whole life was a tragedy - this is just the last act. I don't really like his music, I found his personality very irritating and I think he was a truly dreadful parent and husband. The fact that he's dead doesn't change all that - I wish his family peace in mourning him but I really, really hope we don't have to endure weeks of 'Saint Michael cruelly snatched away' - he participated in his own destruction, there's nothing to be gained by fooling ourselves now about the choices he made.

I agree with hecate....(and by and large Kerry and Dittany)

Whatever he was as an adult, and whether he was a paedophile or not, he was one fvcked up mess, and that started when his own family prostituted them all out as kids.

Someone pages ago criticised the natural mother of the children for effectively "selling" them....how many times does this happen though- rich, powerful father, poor, powerless mother. She would never have stood a chance of getting custody even if she had wanted to.

Will be keeping radio firmly switched off as the music wasn't my thang either.

cowardlyhidingname · 26/06/2009 08:09

Oh haven't name changed - the 'cowardlyhidingname does NOT refer to this thread where I would say what I think - but to another thread where I didn't want to be hunted down by irate wives....

Just heard this now,it is a great shame for those young children.

The man was very talented & will never be forgotten.

RIP.

harleyd · 26/06/2009 08:13

i wondered last nite how quickly the sick txt jokes would start coming through

the first did at 4.15am

no matter what anyone thinks of michael jackson, theres no denying he was the biggest name in pop and he was bloody talented

do you not think even if there is two threads that people will still end up rowing and bitching..remember the jade threads?

Lulumama · 26/06/2009 08:13

putting aside the scandals and the weirdness, a 50 year old father of 3 is suddenly dead. a man who made a huge contribution to populr culture , and who for many people was an icon, his family and friends must be beyond devastated at his sudden death

cocolepew · 26/06/2009 08:17

I don't really know what I feel. I was a fan of the Jackson 5, remember their cartoon on a Saturday morning? When Thriller came out I loved it, but then I discovered Prince and Jacko never got another look in. I never listened to him again after the child abuse trails because I thought he was guilty. But I can't help thinking it's a blessing for him and, wierdly enough, his children.

monkeytrousers · 26/06/2009 08:21

Ahmanijad will be loving this!

posieparker · 26/06/2009 08:21

Are we sure those little white, blonde haired children are his? Perhaps they'll be allowed to see their mothers now.

ilovesprouts · 26/06/2009 08:23

mj was not convicted of child molest ,he paid them off ,as hed had enough stress ,its sad ,i was not a big fan off his but liked his music ,and i feel sorry for his family and children ,whos the next person to be bitched about rip mj xx

monkeytrousers · 26/06/2009 08:24

I'm sure the truth will out sooner rather than later now. Journos will be coming in thrir pants knowing this story will run and run!

daftpunk · 26/06/2009 08:26

very sad, he was fantastic.

ps;
it would be nice if people could remain dignified and keep their vile opinions to themselves....whatever you may have thought of him.....

the "jokes" arn't even remotely funny btw.

harleyd · 26/06/2009 08:27

no they arent, they are sick
it amazes me how quickly they get out tho

2shoes · 26/06/2009 08:28

harleyd · 26/06/2009 08:31
